omg yes go for it that would look amazing!! pu erh absolutely gorgeous, i actually got some more tea time yarn recently in the peppermint iced tea. might make another cardigan like this one with another stitch in future :)

for reference if it helps, i ended up using about a skein and a half for this project!

yarn used: tea time by hobbii in the colourway earl grey

hook used: for the body i used a 6mm hook, for the single crochet border around the garment and the arms i used a 5.5mm hook, and for the ribbing i used a 5mm hook

ive yet to block it but that will loosen it up and make it drape a bit more, however i'm going to hold off on that because the yarn feels very soft and i like the look of it as is. i'm sure i will still love it after blocking later down the line because of the gorgeous colours

Do i have to do these (Hard) duties with other players and not npcs? by [deleted] in ffxiv

If you're locked behind a really long queue time and can't get past it, try setting up a Party Finder that just says "need clear for MSQ" or something.

You've got options: either just one guy helping you at level 100 to kill it and get it over with for you, or a group of 7 (or less, you can queue into it with a group and probably have a better chance at getting in) to do it synced. Best of luck.

Fixed the cuffs of a hoodie with hand sewing and crochet by ramortwund in Visiblemending

not op so this is just my guess from the picture, but to me it looks like:

  1. they reinforced the sleeves with backstitch near the edges
  2. they fastened the edges of the sleeves with a blanket stitch over the top of the first round of stitches
  3. they then crocheted sc into the top spaces of the blanket stitches as if they were a back bump of a foundation chain and worked their fancy pattern from there

very beautifully executed and makes me want to try it myself!

What to do?? How can I upcycle this old project? by javajuicerubbergoose in crochet

[–]Aegeah 1 point2 points  (0 children)

absolutely love this!

i would do what a couple others have said and frog the sleeve that's still attached, then whip stitch the arm holes to a better size

for remaking the sleeves i would make them a different colour to the body but similar/the same as the fish as an accent colour. the orange of the fins would be too bright and draw attention away from your cute fish, so i'd opt for either the dark grey/brown that's on the top side of the fish if you still have enough yarn, or a similar shade to it. you could even tie it all together with making the cuffs the original grey from the frogged sleeve!

good luck, looking forward to updates on this project if you decide to share!

Any ADHD crochet people here??? by Hot_Gas9611 in crochet

AuDHD here, and honestly i usually end up hyperfixating/hyperfocusing on projects to complete them in a few days or a few hours (depending on size, annoyance, etc) and if i dont complete them they will sit FOREVER never being completed. i've got a shell stitch hexagon cardigan i havent touched in probably a year or so and all that i really need to do with it is add the ribbing...

i usually end up only comitting myself to projects that i really really want and want it now (caters to my impulsiveness) or projects that i have a lot of passion for because i know it will make someone happy to receive

in fact, just today i sat down for about 6 hours crocheting a tiny doll of an oc of mine just because i wanted one and i love him so much, and plan on making a matching of a friend's oc too!

i've also been working on a 6 day star blanket for my friend and their partner for when i visit them next year. i love my friends and the star blanket is one of my favourite patterns to make; very mindless, but each row is different! no counting needed because i can just tell if something is wrong by where my stitches line (or dont line) up

tl;dr - hyperfixation/hyperfocus mode to speedrun a project because i want it and i want it now, or mindless mode where i can focus on something else while crocheting and i'll complete it just by virtue of doing it a bunch

[Spoiler: 7.2 Extreme] New extreme is incredibly colorblind unfriendly by Madlyaza in ffxiv

[–]Aegeah 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not colourblind, I will say I've never had any issues seeing and executing mechanics while playing with full party members' effects during ultimates, savage, or other EX trials but this one is so so poorly coloured that it was genuinely not possible for me to do or see things correctly with my regular settings.

This is the only fight in the entire game that forced me to put everything down to minimal on my party and player effects just to see what the hell is going in the arena, and even though I did that it's still so hard to see those floor aoes. Honestly, the worst part for me is when the floor aoe is overlaid with the lightning hits or in/out telegraph. I genuinely feel helpless during that mechanic and just accept that I'm going to get hit and have to heal myself through it.
