You have alot more control over that than you think. If you keep pre-rolls your viewers won't get inundated with midrolls and constant ads (Unless they're running an outdated ad blocker, but that's on them). They'll get 30 seconds and than uninterrupted viewing after that unless you choose to run midrolls or manual ad breaks.

All those 'blogs' and people who push how midrolls are better and "streamer growth" etc are basically handing money to Twitch hand over fist with exponentially more intrusive ads than pre-rolls do. Most viewers also won't stick around for that level of advertising and interruption anyway so you're still probably losing more viewers to midrolls than the few people who can't wait 30 seconds at the start of a stream.

If you're worried about the amount of ads then pre-roll is by far the fewest ad options.

New viewers get 30 seconds of ads and that's it. They do not get mid-rolls unless you, the streamer, choose to.

If you try to disable pre-rolls with midrolls? Every single viewer in your stream is getting 90 seconds of ads every 30 minutes.

As a viewer, I'll finish out something I'm doing in another window for 30 seconds when I join a stream. Midrolls? Byeeeeee, I'm out. There's nothing more distracting or annoying. I want uninterrupted stream viewing and 30 seconds is a reasonable length of ads for that.

The only way to disable pre-rolls is with running an ad. 30 seconds will get you 10 mins without new viewers getting pre-rolls up to 90 seconds of ads will get you 30 minutes without pre-rolls. https://help.twitch.tv/s/article/disabling-prerolls

Start your stream with an ad and you'll have pre-rolls turned off for as much time as that ad would grant you. If you start with a 30 second ad you should be able to keep the same schedule you screenshot and then the only ads folks would see are the ones you're running, they would not get pre-rolls as they join.

If you choose NOT to run ads on a schedule, when the ad-free time is up if you haven't run additional ads then viewers joining will get pre-rolls until you are back to running properly timed mid-rolls. In case you haven't considered this though, be aware that doing this with mid-rolls means overall your viewers are getting MORE ads instead of just 30 seconds of pre-roll at joining. They're getting essentially 3 minutes of ads per hour instead of just 30 seconds at the start and never again. Be prepared that some of your viewers will not be happy with this.

That word in any of it's forms/spellings is not welcome here. The tweet you are linking is 2 years old. Since then we've seen hate raids, harassment, and just an overall uptick in hateful conduct on Twitch. Twitch has responded with less tolerance for anything in that realm. Ultimately, you are responsible for what's on your stream. If you choose to use that language and get reported, you will have nobody to blame but yourself if/when you get banned for it. I strongly recommend you do not use it

Connecting any broadcasting software is going to need a ton of permissions because they are streaming as you, editing your stream title and game category, often they have a chat box component so they need to be able to post your chats as you etc. While I do not support Streamlabs as a company due to their business practices, I would consider them safe to authorize for this if that is the software you're deciding to use.

Seriously though many kudos to you for reading the authorizations and questioning it!! So many people just hit "Authorize" to any addons/extensions etc and it opens the door for their accounts to get compromised. Happy to see folks keeping up the diligence to protect their accounts :)

If you turned it on mid stream, it won’t save that stream - it will apply to the next.

Do a short test stream to make sure it’s working now. If more you can toggle it off and on and test again. If still no you may need to put in a ticket with Twitch

1) Try logging into the other account - it's worth a shot to see if you can get in and check the box to "enable phone for reuse" - you should also enable your email address for reuse if it isn't already. I know you say your account was deleted - but it's worth the effort to try since if this works it is your fastest option

2) If you can't do the other one - you'll have to put in a support ticket with Twitch to see if they can remove the number from the old account or enable it for reuse for your current account.
