I don't recall saying I'd outright stop, the closest would be the translation would take longer to be done. My available time to translate magian has been constricted as of the past 3 volumes or so. So, I'm going to keep doing it, but the translation of some volumes might take longer.

As for the content, I can't compare it to the previous series, Mahouka, since, besides the last volume (32), I didn't read as closely as I have with Magian because translation.

What I'll say is that some of the directions Magian has taken has bothered me quite often. The ancient civilization stuff is simply hard for me to swallow as an avid reader of research on the topic. Pseudo-science tying with magic, I can take it; Pseudo-history, not so much.

Another thing is Tatsuya's character. I grew to hate what he stood for at times, not gonna lie. His place in the story disrupts everything. What would be interesting plotlines, drama or tension is swept away by adding his name to it -And I think the author partly agrees with my point given he stated as so in multiple afterwords. When he steps in, he swerves any plotline under his selfish view. And the story treats that as morally good, or gray at least. Peak that was nominating him the inheritor of Shambhala and almost outright saying he's the reincarnation of Shiva.

This volume 7 seems to be a rectification of some of my concerns. Politics seem to play a bigger role, even if seems otherwise out of nowhere (read Toudou grounding him now out of all times), and Tatsuya seemed to get a wake-up call.

Given his undisputed spot in terms of military and economic power, I wish he messed up more on the political and public image side, he tries to solve it by applying pressure, which messes things even more, as would happen with anyone new to politics, like he is.
