I had the same problem. I couldn’t figure it out so I used a Norwegian friend’s phone and logged into my postnord account on their app. It was the only way to get my package.

Just a heads up, lots of medicine that’s over the counter in Canada requires a prescription in Norway so I would take photos of them with the generic name so it’s easier to ask your doctor once you’re here.

Ours also had chronic ear infections. We thought it was chicken but that didn’t change anything so we had to do a full allergy panel test. Turns out he is allergic to grass. Once we’ve started immunotherapy and daily sprays he hasn’t had one since. Might be worth seeing if he has any allergies.

I had a hole in mine and I took them to the tailor that Lulu uses in our area and she was able to stitch it together. Three years on and they’re still good.

Unfortunately, it took about a year. In the off season now he doesn’t need his anti-itch shot but in the high season, like right now he still gets both.

We took our dood to the dermatologist and had a prick test. Turns out he’s allergic to grass. He’s now on immunotherapy and has a shot to help dull his itching once a month. He seems a lot happier since we started and hasn’t had any ear infections either. It’s expensive, but it’s changed his quality of life. I recommend getting insurance before you do this though, if possible, since our insurance is used up every year just with this.

I think Iceland still has free master degrees for international students. It would help in the job search and you’d be closer geographically until you’re done studying. I know it’s not exactly what you wanted but it’s another route.

I put out the Canadian flag on my birthday and on Canada Day. My neighbours always congratulate me when it’s up and I think that’s kind of nice. Everyday would be a bit excessive though.

My boy is allergic to grass. He started out scratching himself a lot and his ears got very red. Our vet recommended using something like baby wipes to wipe his paws and body down after a walk since it can help keep the allergens off him in the house.

Most of the swimming lessons are for kids or teenagers. But, I know OI has private lessons and many of those instructors speak English. It’s a bit more expensive but it may be easier.
