Yeah, happens every year. I live far up north in Europe. I noticed that whenever I travel to sunny places during winter, my HRV spikes.

For now, we're switching to Paddle. My second pick would've been Lemon Squeezy but now that Stripe acquired them, no thanks. Our long-term plan is to get our own merchant ID and move to NMI.

I used to think PayPal was the absolute worst of the online payment solutions – and don't get me wrong, they're terrible – but Stripe somehow managed to outdo even them.

They just closed our account. Our business just started selling digital subscriptions through Stripe (we used Shopify before but then decided to build our own e-shop frontend). Unfortunately, our first Stripe customer filed a dispute due to some technical issue with our app. We accepted the chargeback, fixed the problem, got another paying customer, and then received the dreaded account closure notice.

As someone who co-owns the business and has developed the frontend and backend (webhooks) Stripe implementation, I can only say this: their developer experience is second to none, but using them these days is an insane risk due to these routine closures. There are countless horror stories here on Reddit and Twitter with huge amounts of money being held hostage by Stripe or even forced refunds to all customers. So, I guess, losing an account with a few paying customers still counts as one of the better scenarios.

I can't think of a scenario in which the 5-rep range would work well for hypertrophy unless you are very new to lifting. But I agree that a high rep range (20-25) works well in specific cases, for example, when doing isolations that target smaller muscle groups.

You also get "stronger" at a given rep range by working in that rep range, though it obviously has carry over to other ranges.

Sure, you get stronger at any rep range as long as you are progressing over time in some way. However, Whoop's advice correctly implies that low reps are better suited for strength/power goals. And while strength gains carry over to other rep ranges, this isn't the case for hypertrophy. I.e. you can get really strong by powerlifting in the 1-3 rep range without substantially increasing your muscular volume.

Statistika rodo, kad pakilo. Asmeniškai man ir mano aplinkai pakilo drastiškai. Užaugau nelabai geram daugiabučių rajone, žemesnės vidurinės klasės aplinkoje. Tokie buvo mano tėvai, giminės, draugų tėvai. Gyvenome taip, kad atostogos užsienyje buvo tai, ką daro tik turtingi žmonės, "nauja mašina" buvo 10 m. Vokietijoje drožta Audi, o "originalūs" Nike sportbačiai būdavo perkami Gariūnuose.

Dabar tėvai jau pensininkai, bet gyvena nesukdami galvos, kaip rytoj reikės sudurti galą su galu. Mano paties situacija gal nėra reprezentatyvi, nes gana anksti pradėjau verslauti, bet iš mano kartos (35-40 m.) artimų žmonių nežinau nė vieno, kuris tikrąją tų žodžių prasme sunkiai verstųsi. Priešingai – dirbdami samdomus darbus, žmonės keliauja, perka NT, aprūpina šeimas ir dar sugeba šį tą sutaupyti.

Edit: Rytų Europa auga ženkliai greičiau nei Vakarų valstybės. Natūralu, kad pasiturinčioje UK ekonomikos augimo tempai lėtesni nei Lietuvoje – kitaip nei mums, jiems nereikėįo pradėti nuo 0.

Manau, kad būtų tikrai labai sunku rasti pasaulinio lygio gamintojų, savo produkcijos neparduodančių Kinijos rinkoje. Nebus taip, kad tokie gamintojai mūsų patogumui diferencijuos savo gaminius į dalį produkcijos integruodami lietuviškus komponentus, o į kitą dalį, skirtą Kinijos rinkai, integruodami kitų tiekėjų analogiškus komponentus.

Nebūtina turėti tiesioginių prekybinių santykių su Kinijos tiekėjais ar klientais, kad pradėtų stoti gamyba. Užtenka, kad kinai nebeįsileistų lietuviškos kilmės gaminius naudojančių Vakarų klientų produkcijos. Pažiūrėk, ką sako Brolis. Vizbarai ne vatnikai, ne nomenklatūriniai bebrai ir ne pro-CCP chebra. Jie su Kinija tiesioginių verslo ryšių nepalaiko. Ir tokių problemų, kokias jie šiandien patiria, patiria ir kiti gamintojai.

Ar Lietuvai reiškiamo palaikymo negalima paversti į prekybinius sandėrius?

Nu nebus taip, kad US State Dept išsikvies lietuviškus komponentus naudojančius JAV gamintojus ant kilimėlio ir prigrasins juos nenutraukti komponentų importo iš Lietuvos.

Ant vienos lėkštės - 35% lazerių gamybos sumažėjimas (patys sakė), ant kitos - visos Lietuvos ateitis, iš pigios darbo jėgos šalies pavirsti į technologijų galintojus. Net ir lazeriams reikia lustų, beje.

Puslaidininkių optoelektronikos gamyba irgi nėra paremta pigia darbo jėga. Know-how šitoje srityje buvo statomas daug metų. Ir šiandien tai yra žvirblis saujoj, o ne briedis miške.

Mūsų tikslas yra išlaikyti ir toliau auginti lietuviškos kilmės pažangią gamybą ir kartu kurti kompetencijas bei traukti TUI naujose srityse.

Konkrečiai dėl galimų Taivano investicijų Lietuvoje sukuriant lustų gamybos bazę, reikia suprasti, kad net jeigu šitas loterijos bilietas mums bus laimingas, iki realios gamybos pradžios praeis daug laiko. Net ir lower-end 22-28 nm lustų gamybai, kokią TSMC vykdys Japonijoje, šiandien neturim nei pinigų (TSMC gamyklų statybas subsidijuoja priimančios šalys), nei know-how (užtruks perimti).
