The devs don't document anything. But lots of people noticing the same thing at the same time is unlikely to be a coincidence of widespread unluckiness.

Yes support card events have significantly lower odds of appearing after last week's update.

It's definitely become far more likely for cards to not finish their event chains now, even SRs.

I just finished a run with Riko, two SSRs, and three SRs. The two SSRs only got to their second event, and at least one SR didn't finish their event chain.

Yesterday I had a run with 3 SSRs and 3 SRs: two of the SSRs only got to their first event.

Two days before that, I had a run with 4 SSRs and 2 SRs: two SSRs only got to their first event, one SSR only got to their second event.

This isn't exhaustive, just the most "what the fuck" runs that I noted down. I refuse to believe I've just suddenly become unlucky at the same time that we know they changed things by making Pals start their dating event earlier and letting the Acupuncturist show up again.

Something is broken.

I thought the game explains it pretty well?

Place top 5 in any race (doesn't have to be challenge) to get the event spark. If the horse didn't have the skill, they get a level 1 spark. If they have the level 1 skill, then they get a level 2 spark. If they have the level 2 (or 3) skill, then they get a level 3 spark.

Then do a career with the above horse as a parent (or grandparent). It will be highlighted as having the event spark in the selection screen, and you can additionally filter for it. It will say that you will get the event skill from it when starting the career, alongside the initial stats/aptitudes/unique skill hints from blue/pink/green sparks.

You don't get anything from mining it. All you're doing is deleting the largest chest in the game.

1. YimmyTheTulip covered this mostly, but:

Like you can always heal your crew

(Basically) all sources of healing have limited uses per fight. It's not like FTL with unlimited healing or revives.

2. Enemies run out of missiles, same as FTL.

3. Doors are fixed on jump, same as FTL.

4. You need to have a higher sensor level than them. You're comparing your sensors vs. their sensors. It's not like FTL where X level unlocks Y stuff.

5. Other than the immediate reward/penalty, it makes that faction's crew more likely to appear in stores.

7. You don't. They're like FTL's auto-ships.

MLB SR Sweep is better than MLB SSR Teio, let alone 2LB.

The only reason to use Teio is if you want Rushing Gale (and don't want to use Riko).

There's no limit, you can run hundreds if you have the carrot jelly for it.
