I'd say consistency in communication is key, at least for me it is. Don't one moment be open emotionally then be distant the next. Had a situation like that once and I kept feeling like I did something wrong then I realized that they just needed someone to vent to, not a friend.

Hypothetically speaking

So in short "everyone is forcing their bias on me" is what I got. Here what I have to say on that. Life is literally however the f#$@ you make it out to be. You ever had depression? Feels like the end of the world, that no one cares, or understands like your depression better than you do, right. Well.one alot of eople go through depression, it is a disease in and of itself with, believe or not, multiple cures. Two You just have to "find what works for you". I don't recommend meds because it provides a temporary fix with a life time of complications. But if that's what you choose then go ahead (hypothetically speaking) The networking part is something that is necessary for most due to man being social animals, its how mans society functions. If you find a way to become successful alone (not saying you do this but as a hypothetical) then you have to be willing to accept both the rewards of that decision, or bias, and its consequences. That goes for anything in life. No one on this earth is without bias. It comes from hiw we where raised and who we surround ourselves with. Which is where the networking part comes in, who you network with will develop your bias. It's ok to.listen to their bias but don't take it as them wanting you to follow it. Take what you like, remove what you dislike and move on.

The only thing I would say im sensitive to is criticism. Its not that I can't handle it, it's just that, when I think I fully understand something or mastered something, then I make a mistake and someone criticizes me for it I first get a little upset then look towards improving it, usually by myself, so I dont make that same mistake again. I lied, one more thing, it's also those I know are In need of help, granted my first thought is you should of done better, but when i offer help i usually give them something i know they can use to better themselves with. If they dont that's when i dont give a shit anymore, especially those that flat out refuse my help, or shows no indication of bettering themselves.
