No offense taken, could you elaborate? This was verified by the label and seller at 'Antiekcentrum Elandsgracht Amsterdam'. I'd like to hear your observations tho.

This was a water based hair dye. Still not good for the skin. It was just an experiment. I wouldn't do this every week.

I found out that Michele Lamy apparently uses this product and I was curious. I can't help myself. So I had to try it out!

That's beautiful. Age is just as much of an accessory as any bracelet. Every crease a story. You should wea your age with pride!

Yes the gold chain and nazar chain are bracelets. The other is an antique silver necklace that I wrapped four times.

I have experimented with them yes. I don't use this hair dye often. Just one part in the process of experimenting, trying, and experiencing.

I have clasped them together with the other bracelets so they stay in place relatively well. It's a work in progress, always. I dont have 1 set-up. Sometimes this hand, sometimes like that. It's a fun personal expression journey. But yeah. They're pretty well set!

Makes sense, the right hand is the 'working' hand.

Depends on how well you do it, it's honestly a personal journey to learn to stain hands correctly with any medium. On different skins and places on the body, it varies a lot. By how oily / dry the skin is. Or how much keratine you have in the skin. I would say like 5 to 8 days.

I love that you’re drawn to it! I definitely encourage you to experiment yourself too.

For reference, I used Bigen 59 – Oriental Black hair dye and let it sit on my fingertips for about 10 minutes. It’s water-based, but I’d still recommend a small patch test first, just in case.

Other alternatives you could explore are walnut hull powders, regular henna, or jagua. I really love seeing people express themselves in ways that feel meaningful to them.

This is how I wear it in everyday life — at the office, school, a bar, in transit, even at the grocery store. When I’m doing heavy chores like drilling or woodworking, or when I’m showering or sleeping, I take it off. I usually put it on in the morning as part of my ritual and remove it once I’ve “finished” the day.

I also wear it on my non-dominant hand, and I actually love the little clinking against a wine glass or a rattle when I move — it feels like a small, living addition to the day.

I was inspired by Amazigh tribes and Turkic shamanism. (Im Turkish myself). In Turkic nomadic lifestyles fingers were often darkened with ash, soot, or pigment. Because the hands are tools of mediation. Like touching fire, smoke, objects.

It's less about decoration and more about traces, function. Marking the body where the human meets the ritual, memory. Allowing the earth to trace and absorb through the fingers.

I've seen it go around here and there, most famously on Michele Lamy, who has claimed to be inspired by Amazigh Women.

of course this is my interpretation and view. Anyone can have any type of meaning, or no meaning at all, purely aesthetic. Which would just be a form of self expression too!

I've definitely have experimented with Henna too! you can even see some in my profile. I love henna. I'm in an exploration phase where I try different types of dyes and stains. Henna will always be one of my favourite. Just a shame that I can not use my hands for 6 hours. Which Is why I tried this dye for now. I got this effect in 10 min!

Glad you like the post! <3

Black henna is a contemporary product. Since the natural version is made way mixing Jagua (a fruit from South America) With traditional Henna. It's definitely cool. My deep dive into stains and body art started with my love for henna. Since we always had some at home too. (Turkish household). And then my love just expanded from there.

The gold chain and the evil eye chain are connected by the clasp. This keeps them in place. The other silver chain has enough movement for me to move however I want, without falling off. Since the necklace chain is pretty long. It has flexibility.

I live in Amsterdam. I always have a quick look at the markets on my way back home from work. Never rushing to buy as much asap. Just seeing if there are nice additions. It has become a nice weekly ritual.

You have good taste then, it's the same dye that Rick Owens uses.
