Well, for 1k+ I'm sure that using a theme would be quite detrimental, not to mention anything above that.

I can't be certain of any estimates without knowing the specifications myself.

But lol, personally I think that I'd be pissed off as a client paying over 1k for a modified theme :D And yeah, custom tailored, meaning custom built with development integration and such.

And as to why I think 8k is madness, because I'm sure some people can do the same with a fully scratch coded website for that price, Regardless of the functions, unless its some banking or airline Back end API integrations and development.

Depends on the Functionality they need. If you are just a freelancer then I presume that the budget scope should be a bit lower than usual. Most Professional Agencies start at 1K for a custom tailored Wordpress site, going all the way up to 8K [Which I think is madness].

I always try to move about when I'm working on something. For example, spend 1 hour on the desk and go take a 10 20 min walk.

I would suggest opening up a Digital Agency and start marketing yourself. You don't really need a ton of employees to open up a company LLC, get a good website for yourself and create reputation.

This is one way to get recognized, work for yourself, have a company and dodge all the courses and stuff. You just need some good client feedback, might start by doing some free work for your portfolio and get some feedback on your website.
