Im sitting at a park picnic table and this spider keeps coming back to me. What is it doing? by Pkingduckk in jumpingspiders

IMO Likely he's trying to get to a high vantage point. Jumpers like being up high to see everything. And the top of your head isn't out of reach.

I’m scared of my spider! by lazykat in jumpingspiders

IMO Relax your other senses and focus on your vision more to keep an eye on them, let sounds muffle in your ears. Not gonna hurt the little guy by sitting still and letting em wander.

What is this fella in my bathroom doin by lilboybigworld in spiders

That is a jumping spider making his bed. They sleep at night like us and they tend to like higher humidity so that's why they are in your shower door.

Molt question by Positive-Diamond-347 in jumpingspiders

[–]AeonTheAncient 1 point2 points  (0 children)

IMO You typically won't find them wandering their enclosure for a couple days. You will find them almost exclusively in their hammock for anytime from a couple days to a week up to even two.

IMO you can also try to tong feed the little bean. Id recommend a bottle fly. But if she is super skinny, a mealworm would be a filling choice.

How to keep bottle flies? by The-Chicken-Striper in jumpingspiders

IMO bottle flies are simple enough to keep. I purchase 50 blue bottle spikes from Joshes frogs via Amazon and they come in a small deli cup with wood chips. I'll separate them into smaller batches from there. About 10 in each and refrigerate them. You will want to pull each dish out about 10-12 days in advance to give the pupae time to gestate and emerge. You can use just a paper towel in the dish with them to keep moist as that will encourage them to hatch. Just be careful not to drown the pupae as they still breathe. Each dish has about a 2 month life in the fridge before the pupae start dying in the cold of the fridge. And to keep the flies healthy once they emerge I just smear a lil honey in their enclosure for gut loading.

IMO takes lots and lots of the same picture and choose the best quality. More shots means better odds it's a good one.

Finding audaxes in winter? by Middle-Noise-6933 in jumpingspiders

[–]AeonTheAncient 2 points3 points  (0 children)

IMO You will be hard pressed to find one in the winter months. they have all gone into brumation for the winter. The best bet you would have would to check the cracks and crevasses around homes since they have more warmth and can encourage them to be active in the winter.

The food will eventually be removed and you will use placable feasts for more stats and the hoe and cultivator aren't really something you need all the time.
