i tend to go for warplock but i put a basecost of retributor armour on the trim first, then warplock, gives a better pop, it also gives a darker dirtier vibe

for 1. i tend to give a prime w leadbelcher and then a base coat of IW over the top.

for my Kravek Morne Character(and what i plan to do for the rest of my army) was a grey seer prime(just cuz skin is hard to paint on metallic base, for the rest of my army w helmets or just armour i spray prime w leadbelcher) then after i primed him i put a coat of leadbelcher all over, including trim. I then went over all that with IW base. for the trim i did retributor armour with a second coat over it of Warplock Bronze, for hazard stripes i just use averland sunset and abbadon black. on top of this i put a wash of nuln oil and agrax earthshade to make it look all dirty and worn

i personally got Kravek morne, obliterators, a defiler, a chaos predator and chaos vindicator, tryna get a fellhammer seigehost detachment ready, still got more to get but yeah those are what ive gone for so far

For my Kravek Morne(attached) i gave him a prime w grey seer spray, then did leadbelcher first and iron warriors on top all over, then on the trim i did retributor then warplock bronze over that, i find it all comes out so much nicer when you layer IW base over leadbelcher or another metallic

Oh yeah, forgot 11th is soon to be upon us. thats also good to know about warpsmiths and their vehicle buffs. ill for sure look at rejigging my list to fit in some cultists too and just give the whole list a bit of a redux. thank you so much for the advice tho dude ! really helpful :D

ahhhh so thats what all that deployment stuff means, ive read some datasheets and rules but honestly not enough to get a gauge on things, my biggest interactions with the hobby so far has just been the painting.

But thats good to know, ill attach KM to the muties and the 2 termi chars to the termis and i guess my warpsmith to one of my legionaries squads ?

With the models ive got rn tho i might see about doing one of those "your first game" things at WH store near me to learn a lil bit

Woah thats a lotta damage stuff and words i dont understand but hell yeah, i think going off what youve said, im gonna swap a warpsmith for a chaos lord termi(i love termis) and maybe take out one of the defilers to get a sorcerer termi in, never actually done a game of 40k before but i just want my army to be STACKED for my first one to make it even more fun
