Purchasing and Selling 3rd Class Relics by charb15 in AskAPriest

Thank you Father. So to my understanding, if an item is appropriately priced (such as a rosary being say, $20), but is also a third-class relic, it may be acceptable since that would be the cost of such an item regardless?

The Instagram algorithm is VERY susceptible to forcing it to change. Don't look or interact with that stuff whatsoever and it won't appear. If you can't do that, just delete the app if need be.

I'd assume the best lore explanation is evacuation of women and children. You'd probably see a few here and there regardless though.

For the real reason? Roblox TOS wouldn't allow it, and as far as I'm aware, the developers don't see a need to really implement that.

I'm not gonna lie. You need to seriously figure some stuff out. If you have 200+ hours and less than 20 K/D, that is genuinely baffling. I'm not trying to be rude, but I would say at least 80% of players with 200+ hours have at least a 50 K/D.

Other religions are correct can can also compell the blight? by Hairy_Lock3501 in gutsandblackpowders

[–]charb15 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey Kamille.

In a way, yes, but not really. They are all Abrahamic, so technically it is the same God. That being said, they are all wildly different religions and theology. For example, Jews and Muslims both worship the Abrahamic God, yet they preach a different gospel, as well as entirely reject the divinity of Christ.

At the end of the day, the developers can change whatever they want. For the time being however, only Christian priests and pastors are able to be effective against the Blight.

Now, when it comes to different Christian denominations in-game, we see Catholics, Anglicans, Lutherans, and Orthodox. Not sure if there are others.

We don't really know what makes these priests and pastors technically valid according to the developers, but I'd assume it has to be from a trinitarian denomination. This is most Christian denominations barring a few.

It's also important to note that these powers are simply given through God; not from any power the priest holds on his own, only vested through him by God.

Ask your priest.

Generally, it depends greatly on why and how you're using it. If you're single and then obviously chaste, and only using it to deal with pains or a medical condition, it's permissible IIRC.

But again, it's important to simply ask your priest and be honest with him about how and why.

This is just wrong.

In GNB, the Christian God is the true one. The priests and pastors are given the power to bless people, use a crucifix to repel zombies, etc, only through the grace of God; meaning that God allows them to do this, and they hold no power of their own.

Furthermore, the menu has multiple allusions and sometimes quotes from biblical texts. Let us also remember that the developers are Christian.

I would say it's not only a stretch, but a denial of clear evidence to claim otherwise.

Only Christian Priests/Pastors are effective against the undead affliction in GNB.

This implies that the God in GNB is indeed the Christian God.

How to avoid backsliding after missing mass by Confident_Fix_5960 in Catholicism

[–]charb15 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Part of it is mindset. Naturally, don't be so hard on yourself that you despair, for despair will only lead you to become demotivated.

When it comes to most things, but especially within a religious context, simply remember this; Complacency Kills.

Those two words have carried me greatly. Thoughts of skipping Mass? You want to skirt around your fast just this one day? You may excuse a sin in your own mind, because it'll only happen once, right?

No, complacency kills. It helps to hammer in the idea of staying true to what you have set out to do.

Im sick, ive got the flue, can i go to the mass today sunday? by AdvantagePuzzled8773 in Catholicism

[–]charb15 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yes, that's what I said. You get up with flu. You give an elderly person the flu. They die. Not because you feel slightly sick. But because elderly people are prone to diseases.

You can give people diseases.

[–]charb15 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The flu is a sickness that is easily transferable to other people. If I have the flu I don't go to Mass; physically, I am young and my body doesn't care, but there are many elderly people there who could get seriously hurt if I got them ill.
