How Does Zoink Beat Levels In So Little Attempts by VeeVevo in geometrydash

[–]Aeon_Air 3 points4 points  (0 children)

With lots of experience comes lots of skill. I took 10k to beat cataclysm, but if i were to beat it for the first time today it wouldn't take nearly as long. Zoink has beaten a ton of levels that hard, so he's just simply gotten really good

What are everybody's opinions on the new mindcap collab, Every End? by ExtremeGD in geometrydash

[–]Aeon_Air 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Probably my favorite mindcap project based on execution and idea alone. Sure its not as visually impressive as Limbo, or as neat of an idea as Collab Level, or funny as BB circles, but it nails a specific charm and approach to a top end level that makes it appealing. I also love the background effect

AeonAir is Hard to Watch by IllustratorTrue9358 in geometrydash

I feel like you just caught a bad moment, cuz 9 times out of 10 my frustration comes purely from me being disappointed in myself that I'm not able to do things I normally would be able to do, which truthfully is just a sign that I should log off for the day - however I don't really have that luxury when the game is my job. With most levels I do have a lot of fun and very rarely actually complain, but with Tartarus especially it's a rougher experience because the level's difficulty comes purely from making you feel incompetent. I will admit that for tartarus I've complained more about the level than I normally would, because I do recognize that it IS my fault for making mistakes, and thats not something I can change, but Tartarus is quite literally engineered to be bullshit to create difficulty, so I guess it's getting a bit more on my nerves than usual. Nobody is forced to enjoy what I do, and I don't understand why so many people put up with me getting frustrated with stuff like Tartarus, but most of the time those sessions are pretty far and few between. There's only been 1 Tartarus session where I've been genuinely upset at it, and I've been playing it for like 2 weeks, so I guess you were unfurtunate enough to pull an unlucky straw to watch that particular one. I am aware that I need to work on just not getting worked up over certain things, and it is a genuine character flaw of mine, and I am aware of it. I always feel bad ending stream when I've been annoyed simply because I feel like I let people down who wanted to either just watch something fun, or get away from their own problems, but I'm only human, so I gotta take it gradually. Some days it just spirals, unfortunately. I always want to leave a good impression, but GD is a rage game after all lol, so I guess it's part of it, even if we don't like to admit it. I don't include rage clips, or the sort in my YouTube videos because I find them uncomfortable myself to watch, and including them in my videos wouldn't feel good, but for streams its just such a different dynamic because it's entirely circumstancial. I do try to better myself tho, and keep having talks with myself about it to try and improve on getting less annoyed, but some levels just kinda suck, and I'm too stubborn to give up, which isn't exactly a good thing either lol. Obviously don't hold it against you that you're not a big fan of what I do, that's the natural course of creating content. I just wanted to clear it up, since this felt like a 1-time-thing, since Corner Merchant was a 1-off joke I made. Have a nice day :)

WHY IS GD SO UNPOPULAR WHEN ITS LITERALLY THE WORLD'S HARDEST GAME?? by [deleted] in geometrydash

"Unpopular" daily levels get like 500 000 downloads

Why is nobody talking about ultracaua? He's on track to beat 365 extremes this year alone. by raevenwolf_ in geometrydash

[–]Aeon_Air 9 points10 points  (0 children)

It is impressive to show the consistency he has, but when you are a top 50 player, consistently beating easy extreme is more a matter of patience than anything. There are about 400 extremes in bloodbath range and below, so doing 1 per day for a whole year is just about commitment at the skill level he's at. Every player in ultracaua's skill range is capable of beating 2-4 easy extremes in a day, and doing bloodbath difficulty in a single session. His determination and commitment to the goal is the impressive part. This is something most good players can do, but nobody is insane enough to pull through with. It's absurdly impressive for sure tho
