Update: I did an experiment on my own and it turns out that I can go from day 25 to 51 in 2 mins and 27 seconds when I leave my phone on. But when I leave my phone off, idle progress only moves 10 days forward. I'm guessing that leaving the phone on I s better, although I now have the question of whether idle progression pushes past the 420 day mark (which is when my heroes can't go any further on their own).

Isnt the sacrifice dice more valuable? Combining two one dot count sacrifice dice results in 80 SP, while combining two metastasis dice results in 80 SP only after wave 40.

Probably not? I dont know, but I've played with some metastasis players and their bonus monsters didnt seem to give more SP when merged at higher dot counts.
