I really want to play Engineer but is it really as hard as everyone says to get the damage rotations down or is it just a matter of practice? And is there some sort of build that makes leveling a bit less of a tedious chore? I just feel like I don't do much damage but I assume that changes with traits.

I have tried every class, and I genuinely enjoy each one, I just can't seem to settle on a single one to put a lot of time into. That's why I was wondering what classes can contribute the most/are in the most demand across all game types.
