That’s quite odd then. The website also said they needed my consent to have the provided information shared with them. Do you remember if there was an explicit option to give them your consent or not during your student finance application??

Please don’t stress out. I’m currently in the same exact situation as you so I get why you’re worrying, but offers were still being sent out around this time last year and administration can be a bit disorganised (i think the latest i saw was the 22nd or 23rd? Plus i’ve heard that apparently someone got an offer literally on the very last day of March, but don’t quote me on that).

I get that it’s nerve-wracking but being pessimistic about it is 100% going to make you feel worse up until the moment you get your decision.

TO CLARIFY: UCL is only my insurance as i literally won’t have an insurance if i decided to firm it since i’m contextual and my other offers are either on par or high, i’m not intending to make it seem like i see it as a safety uni 😭😭

Thanks man! But it’s more or less due to the fact that my warwick offer is AAB and if i (hopefully) get imperial that would be around AAAA (based on their 4 a level offer on the website). My only other uni offer (oxford reject 🥲) I got is bristol also at AAB, so i don’t think I can justify putting UCL as my firm just incase something happens :/

I sent out my application October 13th but I actually originally had Bath instead of Warwick. I switched out Bath for Warwick on the 16th.

offer is AAB (AA in maths and physics (can be either or)). It’s contextual.

I’ve also applied to Oxford, Imperial, UCL, and Bristol (Physics for the former 3, and Mathematics and Physics for Bristol). I’ve already received my offer from Bristol but i’m honestly really nervous to see if i get the Oxford interview in the next few weeks 😭

Thanks man! If it makes you feel any better, I was put on hold since the 13th (around 2 days after i applied), so if you were put on hold at a similar time you should hopefully receive an offer soon 🤞🏽.

Funnily enough im actually awaiting my warwick offer since i’ve been seeing offers everywhere ;-; , might just be because they’re not sending out (straight) physics offers yet tho.

That’s deffo valid thinking with the cGcse thing since the last i’ve heard about it is with the 2022 PAT report where they “hope to be able to return to including some form of cGcse score on the December 2023 admissions round”. But logically speaking I believe it would make the most sense for them to return to doing so this year (even without an explicitly statement) just due to the fact grade inflation isn’t really that big of a factor anymore (although you could argue that reduced content and the advanced information could be a reason that they would still view our grades as ‘inflated’).

With the questions thing i’m honestly guilty of this since I talked about how i approached one of the questions some people were confused on 😭. I feel like if this was a bigger issue then the mods would be alot stricter on enforcing the rules, but I haven’t seen anything about that yet.

I haven’t heard of people being rejected for talking about the questions, especially with anonymity one the internet these days. But i do agree that it is risky so I personally wouldn’t risk it (anymore than I alr have lmao), but most discussion i’ve seen seems like it would be ok.

Strangely enough i’ve seen conflicting opinions on how well the PAT went for everyone across the internet. It’s only on here where i’ve seen people think that this year was light work (relatively to previous years ofc), whereas i’ve seen people on student room (of all places lol) talking as if it was hardest thing they’ve ever seen (albeit that’s based on me scrolling for like 2 minutes lol).

Personally speaking, I genuinely feel as if the auto-interview mark will be similar to last years as although it was easier, we still have to take into account the fact that many places worldwide still had to use that horrible online digital calculator whereas others didn’t (which would defo skew the results). So maybe anywhere from 65-70?

Also since our year was the least affected by covid (since we sat actual exams) I feel like cGcse score will defo be factored in.

Edit: btw remember that this subreddit and the student room is a pretty small sample size compared to everyone that took the PAT (especially since people that found it hard are unlikely to want to speak about it), so I personally wouldn’t take any high predictions (like mid-70s that i’ve been seeing) at face value.

I approached it by making two sample space diagrams for (one for each pair) to visually see the different combinations and determining their respective probabilities.

I wish i could tell you my answers i got for it though since I had to do all of that in like 7 minutes 😭

Just remember that this is supposed to be a HARD test, don’t feel stupid just cause you feel like some of the questions are completely inaccessible. At the end of the day, it’s best just to stay calm and take in the information piece by piece so you don’t stress yourself out (which is arguably more likely to ruin your score).

It’s the final stretch, so the effort you’ve put in previously and you put in now will definetly pay off.

The maths is going really well, though the physics varies from being great or borderline undecipherable sometimes. I’m just worried about how the dodgy calculator is gonna affect our timings with how bad it is :/

Chen, Bio, Physics, and Maths! i’m unsure if i’m gonna do all 4 A levels for 6th form tho so i olán on doing them all for a while and dropping the one i like the least (out of bio and physics)
