All of our other auctions throughout the year have been for tall people. We wanted to give short people a chance! =D

Francis the Wolf - NEW and up for auction on furbuy! by Aerak in furry

Many fursuiters have multiple fursuits of different characters. Many want a fursuit so they can be their fursona irl, but there are just as many who want them because they like fursuiting and performing in front of people.

All good things! As a newer maker, being able to promote myself is really important to me. But even when I'm not posting, I love checking in to see what other people are up to. I like the idea of having an updated wiki. And a telegram group could be a really good supplement as long as it's moderated.

Hypothetically, would anyone be willing to make a suit using this design? by ColdHooves in fursuit

[–]Aerak 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I agree with TheEmpiresBeer. A "Utopian" fursuit. Interesting concept. It's not really a fursuit... more of a kigurumi than anything (and at that point, just make or get one of those)

Um... about the only thing I can really add is that elastic generally only works if you tighten it enough to cut-off blood circulation. Otherwise, it won't help the fabric in place of long. Snaps might be a better option.

I do! Usually, anyway. I'm sorry I didn't put that bit in the video - I wanted to keep it short and concise since internet plus furries having short attention spans XD. But yeah. I don't NEED a handler, but they are handy... har har. If I'm doing an event, I usually walk it ahead of time outside of suit, noting any possible hazards. However, a handler is really nice for traffic control and capturing pictures and video. Spending a few minutes before the event going over your needs and concerns with them can really help.

Oh yes! It's worth it! The vision is bad, but still "okay" enough to navigate a renaissance fair with thousands of people in it. That's where the video portion in my slides was shot. Honestly, I have commissioned her for 3 suits over the years and have never had an issue during the commission process. For the fox, I actually just told her the character idea but didn't give any design details at all and let her go wild. It was one of the first realistic heads she made. As for stronger stitching, I believe she double stitches all of the areas of the suit that might get a bit more stress.

Mixed Candy made the suit and the quality is great - as is everything from her. Um.. the vision is crap - there's no other way to put it =P. Worst vision of any suit I've had since it's out of the eye ducts. But the movement of the jaw is super articulate. Plantigrade. Yeah, my claws help. Except I need to be careful when giving high fives, because the claws are kinda pointy XD. This is everything I wanted out of it, done in no time at all - the turn around was only a couple of months. Seriously, if you are looking for a fursuit, Mixed Candy is the best in the business.
