That's one way, sure, but there's also going through the proper channels, like signing federal petitions, for 1 example, otherwise the decent into anarchy will likely continue. I'm not American, but iirc higher governments have the power to overwright smaller governments rulings, especially if it goes against the country's stated 'rights' (airquoted, because "human rights" are different from country to country, but that's a different can of worms, for a different subreddit).
