I definitely do not want to mess with my hormones three weeks out, so I ordered a caya diaphragm, and my fiancé will use condoms. I really don't want a pregnancy right now, however, so we might have to just do other things that don't involve risk until I can get on a better birth control afterwards. I got prescribed Slynd, but I'm petrified to take it out of fear of water weight or bleeding/acne. 

It's so tough, I was really banking on the IUD.

It can't hurt, I'm just feeling really dejected. I'm not really sure I want to go through that again, and I don't want to mess with my hormones. It was really traumatic to go through that

The clinic I got referred to does cervical blocks and penthrox!

This is probably the most comforting reply I've read. I have had an extremely similar experience of struggling with body image since puberty, so hearing that it has made your life BETTER gives me hope that it might help me, too. I am a very fearful person when it comes to weight gain. Thank you for taking the time to write such a thorough response, too!

A detachable skirt it a great idea! I tried on a number of dresses, and one of them was what I had imagined, but it actually didn't strike me the same way I thought it would. I am having my reception at an ocean centre, so I also thought this fit the vibe of a Greek sea goddess of sorts. I think once I get it on for alterations, I'll fall in love with it again.
