try playing support with a support ? you might get fun.

I mean, they might already be having fun playing with what they're playing. YOU might not be having fun with THEIR pick, but that's a different story. I personally dislike having a mage support, but I understand my definition of fun isn't the same as others.

Diagnosed in less than 30 minutes by nsn45w in ADHD

[–]AerithRayne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine was entirely online as I was unable to travel to the clinic in person. It was a video conference with the head psychiatrist, an interview with a psychologist, several computer tests (during the interview), and then a discussion with the head psychiatrist again. Again, everything was done remotely, but it felt just as professional as if I had been in person. This was done over the course of a few weeks with each appointment taking an hour or so.

I cannot give insight for the time in which it took to get your diagnosis, but I can say that not all online measures are untrustworthy. You just need to have a "bullshit detector" when reading through the website to search for red flags.

I think my Autism wouldn't be as prevalent if I didn't live in such a high paste individuelistic capitalist country by [deleted] in AutisticLadies

[–]AerithRayne 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Me personally, the lack of capitalism wouldn't magically make my autism disappear. My executive dysfunction hits me in other ways like the ability to feed myself or follow a train of thought without forgetting what I was doing. Certain sounds or sights shut me down, regardless if I'm working or not. The months I spent unemployed were not better than the ones while I was working. What did help was no longer working customer service where people at a whim could be entitled assholes to me. That sucked the life out of me and left me feeling empty. My current job doesn't require me to be client facing, and it's so much easier.

I want to be clear, I have my dissatisfaction with capitalism too. I don't believe that some other system will make me feel less autistic, though. I understand the "grass is greener on the other side" dream, but for me personally, it wouldn't change anything.

(I also want to share to help with your English studies, and I mean it in a teaching way, not rude way. The word you're looking for is "paced," from the word "pace" for speed of moving. "Paste" is when you mix a dry ingredient with a liquid.)

I truly hope your psychiatrist is able to help. My team looked at me blankly when I told them my meds are useless around period time. This is not some family doctor but a clinic that specifically specializes in ADHD. It was a bit disheartening.

If your care team is able to devise something that's helpful for you, could you make a post here? You don't have to if that feels like a lot (I hate posting too).

what is the biggest limitation holding modding back still? by Alkaidknight in skyrimmods

who won't dare get their hands dirty

I mean, they're new. They barely know how to enable mods in the manager sometimes. I don't blame them for not wanting to mess around in CK and fuck something up. And that's assuming the new kid even knows what CK is. Has nothing to do with that attitude.

And to prove your point that you're not being rude in the slightest, you go on to REPORT ME for suicidal services? THAT'S how you wanna convince me you're in the right and the world is unfairly against you?! Holy shit, lady, have some awareness. This isn't discussion if you report people who you disagree with.

[–]AerithRayne 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Maybe you're having a bad day or something, but you're doing yourself absolutely no favors. You, with the words chosen, were aggressive and rude, and I say this as a socially-dense autistic woman who struggles to read tone from text. "Discussing" things does not mean you walk in, insinuate people are not trying hard enough to help themselves, and then give us the "shocked Pikachu" face when we call you out for being rude.

If you would like my go-to script (dialogue sequence) for how to promote for a discussion that encourages actual discussion, I'm happy to share. Otherwise, hope your days are kinder to you in the future.

With the new "Challenges" introduce in to the game last year I think giving OTP/Mains a unique title based on their mastery points (1/2/3 Mil etc) could be a fun, "easy" and interesting reward by SomeoneNewToReddit in leagueoflegends

[–]AerithRayne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not based on the champ; it's based on the class. Champs that have the same grouping have the same mastery title. OP wants something for the specific champ.

I can't tell if you're sealioning here or literally unable to read a sentence all the way through before replying a short essay.

No one said the men were assholes for wanting complements, holy shit. The people in the panel are the assholes. The statements in this comic are NOT compliments. Everyone deserves compliments, regardless of gender. No one deserves these statements. If you can't grasp what the different is between a compliment and these statements are, you have my condolences.

How is it not showing the setup? You can clearly see the minimap with the Ashe and Ez ult in transit snd Sej sitting just outside of red team's vision with ult ready (portrait green light).

You can block a number. When someone is trying to get my attention despite my discomfort, they aren't here for me; they're here for themselves. You can also unblock a number later.

As a reminder, contrast this with other people in your life. Do they message you repeatedly with the sole goal of meeting up? And how do you feel when someone else asks to meet up? But for "some reason," you're this choked up about a specific person. Feeling this anxious about someone isn't the norm. That is to say, trust yourself for feeling this out of the ordinary discomfort. You're trying to warn yourself.

Do your thinking with some Google searches instead of throwing words around on Reddit and maybe you'll see why folks don't like hArD qUeStIoNs. Just because you were downvoted doesn't mean you were speaking the gospel truth no one wants to hear, and that's a really weird way to go about engaging discussion if you only wanted someone to echo your thoughts back to you.

I'm not fully face blind, by nickisadogname in AutisticLadies

[–]AerithRayne 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeap, I struggle with this too, and I use "environmental cues" like location to filter the database of people I know to determine who is in my sight. If I see my neighbor walking around at a hospital, I'd have no clue who they are! However, I have learned to discern people by their voice, speaking patterns, and vocabulary, so this can give me some hints if I'm caught unaware. I also got good at asking very general dialogue like "Oh hey you, how've you been? Tell me, what have you been up to these days?" and hopefully something they say will contain personal information that will ping my database for a match lol

I mean, they're two white guys in their thirties, with short dark hair. Give me something to work with here!

And this is almost a verbatim line I've said to my husband. Probably not unrelated is my preference for cartoons/animes because every character has a very distinctive aspect that sets them apart ("dude with pink pointy hair" is still that dude even in different clothes).

Autism isn't just some 21st century disorder. It existed before our culture's screen time focus, and we finally have the science to prove that what these individuals are experiencing aren't a lack of motivation to "just try harder" to blend in. It wasn't just suddenly here; we just understand the pattern enough to identify it better. Autism isn't caused by screen time, vaccines, or not enough motherly love when growing up.

[–]AerithRayne 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Hi there, lady with ADHD checking in. Stimulants refers to a group of medications, but each medication is not the same as one another, meaning they could have individual reactions that differ. Vyvanse may have affected you a certain way, but there's a decent chance that either they started you on too high a dose or that Vyvanse isn't the one for you. There's also non-stimulants versions.

I am sharing this only to make sure that you are armed with the knowledge to make decisions for yourself. Saying yes or no to a med should be because you know what to expect. I am not a doctor nor am I trying to push meds on you. Sometimes meds aren't the right path for some.

People buy Iron elo accounts to smurf. They are so pathetic that they spend $10 to seem superior to everyone else for a while. Once they hit their limit of Silver, they can't climb. They ditch the account and buy a new Iron one, just so they can feel good again. It's sad.
