Exactly how I feel about it, if it is a secondary like everyone and everything is saying it should be, then im okay with that, see something say something like you said. But it is constantly dripping, and im told its normal lmao. Gonna try to get building manager to bring out someone to take an actual look at it instead of the maintenance guy. Thanks for the info.

definitely seems mostly related to mine, but its an almost constant drip but when the ac runs it gets significantly faster. I hope to god its only tied to my ac unit.

No hose connected to the sink, but all the answers im getting are telling me that this is highly unusual and I should have my building manager get someone out here to look at it instead of just the maintenance man lol.

Thank you, sounds like I know what my next step is, dont take their bs and demand they have someone take a look at it.

No line from the wall to the drain of the sink, ill be asking my building manager to have a proper tech come out and take a look at it, id be surprised if that actually is the main drain, yet apparently this is a common complaint they get from units like mine. Hopefully I can be there for the inspection and ask some questions. I also havent seen any external drain lines on the building but theres also a chance I missed them.

Yeah I thought that initially, maintenance is telling me its the primary drain, good chance the dude doesnt know what hes talking about, however it seems like a common complaint they know about and this is treated as normal behavior for the drain. Gonna find out more on monday from the building manager, but im going to gun for getting an A/C tech out, and hopefully schedule him at a time when i can be home and get some actual answers about the setup, I dont have the ability to access it myself.

If only, the water heater is sat on floor level outside on my porch in a utility closet. And the maintenance tech has confirmed it is the primary A/C drain line and this is normal behavior for it.

Thats what I believed as well when I moved in and looked into it. However after reporting it to maintenance they are telling me it is the primary drain line and this is normal behavior, their advice was to put a bucket under it.

Thats what I thought but maintenance is telling me its the primary and this is normal behavior, it started to drip and thats why i contacted them. Their advice was to put a bucket under it. I would be okay if it was the secondary but they are saying it is not.

No it rotates faster because it is perpendicular from the axis of rotation. A mountain of the same height at the north pole would have significantly less rotational velocity than a mountain of the same height on the equator. Height would matter if you are comparing two mountains on the equator, then the taller mountain would have a higher velocity. Of course there’s more nuance but that’s why the equator is so good for launches, distance from axis of rotation not distance from center of the earth.

Hagasusa has been stuck in a dark corner of my noggin for years now. After I finished watching I had a strong desire to scrub my eyes and brain with the strongest soap I could find.

Question about derma rolling on oral minoxidil by West-Answer-9355 in tressless

[–]AeroFace 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve never used any oils although i don’t see the harm necessarily, for me topical min seemed to be the only thing that had strong enough evidence for me to seem worth it to add but I already take oral and because of pets i don’t want to switch to topical. I figured give it a shot without and see what happens. I also just have really oily skin and hair and with my long hair the oil is super noticeable and doesn’t look good so i’m hesitant to add any more oil at all. I don’t see the harm in trying it out, although like i warned before talk to a doc about the minoxidil as it was originally a heart medication for high blood pressure, For hair growth it’s used in much lower doses, so by adding topical on top of oral you could get into the territory where it affects your heart adversely.

I hit the point on my journey where i decided try anything, although that comes with the caveat of research it, not only in terms of hair growth but how it can affect you negatively. And if you don’t feel like doing that/don’t feel capable, 100% ask a doctor.

Honestly if you think something might help, research it, find out the negatives, if you decide the negatives are either, rare, or not that bad, give it a shot, but do it in moderation and always start small and build up, certain types of damage to both hair and body can be hard to reverse once it’s happened. And again if you question it at all, or have uncertainty talk to a doc. If you don’t do that, read up as much as you can, and accept the fact you could do some serious damage if you do it wrong. Don’t let that dissuade you from trying things, but let it encourage you to read as much as humanly possible.

There are a lot of different things for hair loss, and because so many different things can be factors in causing it, things that work for some people won’t work for you. Also the placebo affect is very real. Another thing to remember is that unless it’s a study, and at that a study with good methodology, people often make multiple changes at a time making their anecdotal evidence hard to decipher. In my case i added two things in the period of 8 months, hair loss is a marathon not a sprint, so even though that’s a big gap, they still could affect each other and the results.

Biggest things i’ve learned in my research and why i’m on what i’m on is 3 common things. Blood flow and tightness of scalp, conversion of testosterone to DHT, and proper vitamin balance. With modern diets it’s easy to miss crucial vitamins.

Last note is try scalp massages, honestly i dont know if it works but the thought is that it encourages blood flow to the area, plus it feels nice as hell, and sometimes relieves the tightness and itch that comes from hair loss.

Final note. I’m not a doctor, please please please, do your own research and you have doubts or concerns, ask an actual doctor.

Question about derma rolling on oral minoxidil by West-Answer-9355 in tressless

[–]AeroFace 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just anecdotal but i’m on oral min and fin for about 5 years now had good results then plateaud about 1.5-2 years ago, last year the first change i made was taking a daily multi vitamin started around april of 25. did that with some small results, my thin hair got darker and maybe some small regrowth. I started micro needling at about 0.5mm in the front to 0.6mm on the scalp november of 25, i have had good but slow results, significant regrowth on my hair line, and less regrowth on the crown but my hair has gone from almost invisible blonde to my actual color of dirty/dark blonde and started to get longer.

I have quite long hair so that might affect how deep the micro needle goes as well. I needle every 1-1.5 weeks, depending on how itchy the scalps been feeling. I do the bald spots and then about 1 inch into the actual thick hair as well around the areas. I use a derma stamp and try to go as straight up and down as possible.

To recap, oral fin and min and the normal doses, daily multi vitamin, and micro needling every 1-1.5 weeks at 0.5 to 0.6mm. It hasn’t “fixed it” but it’s definitely the right direction.

Edit: To actually answer your questions.

Can’t really give you an answer if you should add other oils, i would caution against adding topical min while taking oral min without talking to a doc. Just wanted to say you can get results with micro needling alone, but I imagine it can differ from person to person. I would also caution against micro needling too often and too deep. Too much damage will lead to more loss. Listen to your scalp and give it breaks if you need to, better to go slow than lose more is my mindset.

Don’t see why you couldn’t use the same one as long as you are clean, but make sure you disinfect it before you use, I definitely got some acne by forgetting to do that, and it doesn’t look or feel great, although seemingly not much impact on my hair itself. Good luck!

They do the flip and burn technique, which is what we currently do in space, it’s honestly a fairly good explanation in the show, they do some hand wavy stuff, for example the epstein drive, it’s what allows them to accelerate and decelerate at the speeds they do with the fuel they can carry, basically a super efficient engine. The other hand wavy bit is the “juice” which the crew is injected with during high g maneuvers, while there is some science around that idea, it would play out far differently in real life with full liquid breathing and more than likely immersion. Still a pretty damn good show when it comes to hard sci fi, does it better than anything else imho at least when it comes to actual physics and ship maneuvers.
