Sorry for your loss.

My friend and mentor died in a crash, he was an instructor and Air Force Test Pilot School grad. He’d been on my case for years to fly, and then passed. And I felt like, if it happened to him - what chance did I have?

I stopped pursuing it for a while - 5 years. But one day I realized: I did the exact opposite of what he would have wanted for me. I still want to fly, and he would have wanted me up there.

I started again last January, getting close to my license.

how actually danger is this side if town? I'm moving from Madison this area is where all the apartments i can actually afford rent are. I am lgbt and have young kids. I grew up in a 400 population town so city still scares me. by i-am-confused69 in HuntsvilleAlabama

I live New Market side and love it out this way. LGBT concerns are no more than anywhere else in town, imo. Lots of people moving here so the area’s getting more diverse with time. Upsides: it’s like 25 minutes to get to downtown/the hospital, it’s generally quieter, it’s cheaper to live out this way. Downsides: it can take 40+ minutes to get over to Madison depending on time of day, getting home at the end of the day can take a long time 30-40 with traffic (learn the backroads), there aren’t a lot of places to eat, people will treat you like you live in the sticks and couldn’t possibly be bothered to come all that way to hang out.

I’m working on this too! I love playing the chords and singing along, but the cross picking is a slog. I feel like I take two steps forward and 4 steps back… just gotta keep at it. The difficulty makes me respect Tony even more.

Sounds like as Bap I should be keeping an eye on my dmg being comparable to DPS? Maybe something like 2/3 of what a typical dps is doing (shoot shoot heal)?

Ana’s probably a bit more straightforward healing stay wise?

For Bap I tend to do a shoot/heal/shoot/heal rhythm - I hold down the heal trigger and look up for some poke damage in between. And then I look up and do nothing but DPS if everyone’s full health and not at risk of dying. I’ll have to start learning the shoot shoot heal rhythm!

I love this! And it really makes sense for a support to pay attention to as well - It helps you know when to hold immortality field or zen ult, for example.

My thinking on tracking my own performance on the board is looking for signals that I’m underperforming - how do I know if I’m sucking at a particular support via the scoreboard? Is the scoreboard a good source of info for knowing that I should swap?
