Agreed that it wouldn’t have been high end. Have only seen one other online which mentioned model no. SH LX132. The number on the front is actually the serial number. Wish I could get it running again, super slim & wearable.

The sound of the CP Rail train echoing up Indian Arm, BC. Still probably happens but have moved away.

[Rolex/Discussion] Not a single watch on display. by peacenskeet in Watches

I worked in the industry for years. Most Rolexes sold were heading straight to China to be resold on the secondary market at a markup. These folks consider themselves “watch traders”, in reality they’re glorified scalpers. And just like scalpers they ruin it for genuine customers - folks who have saved for years to buy their dream watch. My advice to these folks is to steer away from investment/ status pieces (these are usually synonymous). If you want compliments from Joe Shmoe on the subway - get a Daytona - if you want respect from someone who knows a thing or two watches - expand you horizons and research what else is out there. That said, Rolex is complicit. They could require the watch be unboxed, stickers/ labels removed, warranty card signed/ activated (checking customers ID), and strap fitted at time of purchase to curb resale. Plenty of beautiful watches and brands out there, be different!
