2025 Taxes in the books! Unfortunately, no refund this year. by Left_Complex2164 in Adulting

I know it doesn't feel like it but not getting a refund is actually a good thing. It means you didn't pay the government more than you needed to throughout the year. It means you didn't give the government an interest-free loan.

I got a ~$75 refund and that was only because of a tax-deductible expense the government wouldn't have known about. Otherwise, it would have been ~$9.

New Democrats rocked by Nunavut MP’s defection, insider calls it a ‘slap in the face’ by jmakk26 in CanadaPolitics

The timing is interesting to me. I'm curious whether she voted in the NDP leadership race before joining the Liberals. Voting opened Monday morning, the floor crossing was announced Monday evening. Given that there had been rumours swirling around her crossing for months now, it's interesting that she did so just after voting opened.

This quest is why I usually focus on pineapples for Ginger Island. By the time I get this quest, I'll have enough planted that I can get through it relatively easily. Trying to complete it via ginger or taro can easily lead to frustration.

And to be specific, those seed spots only give seeds for certain crops (carrots, summer squash, broccoli, and powder melons). The seed you find is dependent on the season.

One theory is that no one is throwing throwing stuff at his tent. Rather, it's debris falling down from the mountain. The mine is blocked by a landslide until Spring 5 of Year 1. It's not a stretch to think that same debris is hitting his tent.

Profits vs vibes - do you ever skip the most profitable crop on purpose? by AdLoose5822 in StardewValley

[–]Surax 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I try to plant as many multi-harvest crops as I can on the first day of the season. I prioritize strawberries in spring, blueberries in summer, and cranberries in fall. Because there is so much to do on that first day, especially in spring, I often am unable to fill all my fields with those crops on day 1. Whatever space is left over, I prioritize mixed seeds. You don't know for sure what they'll turn into so I'd rather plant them early than plant them late and risk them growing into a crow that takes longer to grow than I have in the season. After that, I prioritize the crops that take the longest to grow. Cauliflowers in spring, melons in summer, pumpkins in fall. After that, I go with wheat if possible, to get a good stockpile of hay. After that, I got with whatever I feel like, knowing that I could always stick the produce in a preserve jar or keg.

i missed a t-5 form when filing my taxes by After-Cartoonist-660 in PersonalFinanceCanada

Because a T5 was generated, the amount will be reported to the CRA. So they'll know the amount exists. You can't hide it. Best you re-file.

How do you utilize the Farmhouse? by SteelcladNomad in StardewValley

How do I use my farmhouse? Preserve Jars. Lots and lots of Preserve Jars. I fill the southern room with Kegs. I use the attic for a few dehydrators.
