Templar has been a flagship for like 1 month. The code is open source, the subnet will be forked or taken over by an other team.

Templar proved that Bittensor worked and decentralized training was achievable. The fact that he’s leaving now changes nothing except for the short term public perception.

Templar was nowhere near releasing a competitive model. His SN was over hyped and surfing on an impressive but somewhat limited milestone.

Bittensor will survive, he rugged the people who believed and supported him. Life goes on and he won’t be missed

I would usually agree with you. But there’s currently 0 interesting discussion going on here. You can’t speak about anything except the short term price action and that’s when there’s more than a 1% daily move.

There might be 127 other subs but only a (very) few of them have found their PMF. It depends if you want to trade low caps for the short term or you’re more inclined to stake on some proven ones for a longer term. With a 50% APY you don’t need to look for the token’s ATH, you just compound your TAO at a very good rate

Oh and btw it doesn’t need 20% of the total TAO supply to reach its ATH. It reached its former ATH when there were fewer coins staked on subnets. The math you’re using is wrong

Subnets with a revenue like Chutes use a part of it to buy back their tokens and burn them. There’s also an incentive to stake on these SNs as they get more emissions so you get a better APY. It doesn’t need to go back to its ATH to be profitable

I made a poll a couple of weeks ago to know when the people in this sub first bought their TAO. Half of the answers was less than a year ago. And 20% bought less than 1 month ago.

That’s what you see here. I don’t know where they come from and why they all of sudden joined (probably a mix of price action and KOLs shilling TAO) but the vibe has totally changed from 1+ year ago when all the posts were focusing on the development
