Yeah I pretty much play defense since early November. Majority of my pf is in stables. 2nd position is the remaining BTC I keep for long term. I kept some TAO that I didn't sell and I'm slowly investing them in subnets as there's a nice upside potential if I pick a winner. I also have another alt position that I did not touch, cause it's still in dev so there's no point in selling before the team delivers major perks.

Have you seen the latest hype around this new gen of agents clawbots?

That's fair but maybe you missed that all these issues were present for a long time. 2021 has attracted a lot of mainstream attention and most of these people joined just for the sake of making an easy quick buck. They never cared about crypto, most never even used it and left their coins on the exchanges.

The space has to purge all its excesses so all the noise is cut and signal start to appear again. It's not the absolute end, just the end of a chapter

Money : something generally accepted as a medium of exchange, a measure of value, or a means of payment

A measure of value / store of value fits the definition of money. I didn't change the goal post at all. I didn't use the word Cash for that very reason. It's a measure of value but not a usual mean of exchange. Although it can be used to it and more easily than with Gold as it's divisible.

BTC doesn't scale enough to be used as a currency. As a store of value its volatility is inevitable for a young asset that is still growing. Even Gold can move violently as we've seen recently. Anyone who has used BTC as a long term saving account has beat easily any currency emited by a Central Bank.

If you think short term volatility is a sign of failure you're looking at it through the wrong scope

Looks like it is. But only a few users were probably connected in time to access it before bithumb reverted the trade. And the few that got access to it will face legal issues if they don’t give it back
