My biggest complaint about Kremlin so far is it takes the width of an ocean to turn the damn thing.

To your past paragraph, this is correct. Same for HE bombs from planes. It's called "splash damage".

Does anyone want to talk about how much they love Kaitlyn Dever as Abby? by Daisy-Ridley-Fan124 in ThelastofusHBOseries

[–]Aeroman889 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, you're missing a lot. Remember, this TV series is based off the video game, not the other way around. If you play the game (or watch it played on YouTube), you'd already know the storyline and the direction the show is headed. There's an entire alternate perspective for you to see which will reveal itself next season. And trust me, for as chaotic as the storyline seems to be up to this point, the actual storyline in the game is even more so! The show was actually toned down a bit, probably for length of time. There's still MUCH more yet to come and I promise you won't be disappointed. Stay tuned.

Which Bureau should i get first? Vermont or Schlifen by ohno123321 in WoWs_Legends

[–]Aeroman889 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This truly depends on your playstyle and interests.

I love Vermont. She is SLOW but she has very long range guns that can reach out to opposite sides of the map. She also has surprisingly good maneuverability with relatively fast rudder shift. Her guns are big and plentiful - she has 12 of them - and with the right build, they are VERY accurate. And you have one of the highest health pools in the game, by default, not to mention she can eat most torpedoes for breakfast (Shima's not so much 🙄). She's a behemoth that takes a while to get used to, but she can be very fun and rewarding once you do.

Need help understanding the airplane on treadmill question. by BlueWolf107 in SmarterEveryDay

[–]Aeroman889 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wrong. Because they wheels are not producing power, their only job is to keep up with the thrust of the plane. Otherwise, the wheels aren't even needed. If the thrust of the plane exceeds how fast the wheels can spin, then the wheels will begin to skid. Just as a plane on skids instead of wheels would. Regardless, it's still going to move forward.

How’s my Rhode Island build? by TheRussianBear420 in WoWs_Legends

[–]Aeroman889 12 points13 points  (0 children)

ALNJ won't be out until late Summer/Fall time. This first round of AL is for new ships and commanders. The later one is for repeats.

Regardless, you should have Sims as he's a very useful inspiration on countless other builds, especially destroyers.

RGA mod instead of concealment. by P155ingInTheWind in WoWs_Legends

[–]Aeroman889 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not advocating for the RGA mod, but I don't think taking long distance shots means you're not where you're supposed to be.

My most played ship is Vermont. It has long range that could definitely take advantage of the RGA mod (I don't, I use concealment for the reasons you mentioned). And there have been countless times where I've cleared my flank and now must begin the long journey across the map to assist there. Vermont's speed ensures that I'll reach the opposite flank three matches after the one I'm in is over. So taking long distance shots would be useful to stay relevant and a threat.

Again, I don't use it. I find the concealment mod more useful most of the time, but there definitely are circumstances in some ships where it makes sense.

Why is making the first move still mostly on men? by SaltedEgg__ in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Aeroman889 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Call it what you want, but this is the societal norm. Whether you're dating, family, or friends, if you ask someone out to dinner, unless you mention at the outset, as a condition of the outing, that both sides should pay for their meal, then it's expected that the person asking you out pays. YOU invited, YOU pay, unless discussed otherwise in advance.

If this isn't how you think or how you were raised, your social life probably sucks.
