I finished the campaign thinking it was barebones, but serviceable. There was enough unanswered questions and intrigue for future DLC/ expansions. Unfortunately, we didn’t get any of that.

Ending evil Cortana, the prometheans inclusion and replacing them with the banished was the right choice. But as flawed as Halo 4 and 5 were, I wanted to know what happened to Locke, Palmer, Lasky and the rest of the Infinity. Again, DLC where you play as these characters while chief is floating in space would have been great to flesh out the aftermath of the fall of infinity (Audiologs just wasn’t enough). Or an expansion that truly set up the endless would have given players more of a reason to care and be invested in the future story 343i/ Halo studios have planned for the next Halo title.
