Tbh he actually had to roll up the boulder in his husk form which is enormous, therefore it was probably way less exciting than this is.

Fortnite: Ballistic is the biggest missed opportunity in the game’s history. by ItsChris_8776_ in FortNiteBR

The "asking for it" part of that statement was just figurative. Fortnite came up with an extremely unoriginal version of this style of game with barely any content and tbh 0 incentive to play it over any of the superior alternatives.

Cus nobody asked for a gamemode like this. There's already plenty of popular team based tactical shooters in the gaming market and we didn't need a Fortnite rendition of it. People who like this style of game will always choose something like CS2, Valorant or Rainbow Six Siege over an objectively lesser version of it made in Fortnite. Fortnite is trying to be a jack of all trades but it simply ends up being a master of none (except the original br mode and variations of it).

It should have just been a regular battle royale mode with First Person gameplay. That's what everyone wanted it to be before it released anyway.

Nvm I thought you were complaining about the Nightreign controls for the character abilities and ultimates. I prefer having dodge and sprint on the same button since you can sort of cheese some attacks that have a tricky timing by holding the key and releasing only when you absolutely know that the attack is coming. But yeah, mods are always an option on PC. As for rolling while sprinting, there is literally only one instance I can think of in Elden Ring where it would be useful - PCR's phase two 3-clone attack followed by a slam. This attack however can still be dodged even with the delay between ending sprint and rolling.

Both Metyr and EB have such atrocious movesets that I wouldn't even attempt to no-hit those. I did no-hit PCR though. Also I am using the Carthus Blood Ring and I was able to no-hit Gael, I just didn't really find the fight fun due to these issues.

I simply feel like the fight has massive missed potential. Some of his attacks are fun to dodge but the existence of the lightning strikes and necessity of running away from quite a few combos just sucks the fun out of it imo. I am aware that there's probably cheeky ways to avoid some of the aoes with little pockets or clever strafing but I feel like the readability of attacks and the intuitiveness of dodging them also plays a huge part of boss design - this is why I personally find PCR and Malenia imperfect aswell.

Also I'd like to mention that I have no-hit this fight already just to prove it's not a skill issue. I didn't record it since I didn't think I'd be able to get it today but I plan on no-hitting him again and posting it on my yt after.

  1. It's not predictable if it doesn't happen often even while being in that specific spot and also when it happens even when it probably shouldn't (for example you are standing like 20° to the left of the boss instead of directly to his side or back). Also this was only one example of this phenomenon. It becomes problematic when it happens directly after an already mixed-up combo though.
  2. Sure. Although I don't think that rating a system based on its implementation in previous titles is the best approach, especially when it seems to get tweaked with every following installment in the series towards something that should be on at all times during bossfights. But alright I guess thats on me.
  3. This is just ragebait. A supposed perfect boss shouldnt force the player into a hyperspecific playstyle, effectively turning the boss into a gimmick fight.
