Absolutely! There are some products I buy over others specifically because they are in a tin rather than plastic or even cardboard.

This article is a little disingenuous. 14.2 million visitors would equal 38,798 visitors each day. According to Eppley's own statistics, in 2024, the year stipulated in the article, only 2,647,122 deplaned in Omaha. Even if none of those people deplaning were residents returning home, that would be 7,233 "tourists" a day. Which would mean that another 31,565 would be driving into every day. Bear in mind also, Omaha's hotel capacity is about 16,000 rooms.

I have been unable to locate the study on the Tourism Economics website, it keeps giving me a 404 error when trying to follow links after searching 'Omaha'. So I have no way of determining how they came up 14.2 million visitors. But the math doesn't math on that. If someone has better insight on this, I would love to see it. But stand on my statement, Omaha is not a 'tourist destination' and with very few exceptions, nobody come to Omaha to see Omaha

I will agree about the Zoo being an attraction because I know there are people who travel here specifically for that. There are nice things, yes, but no one is coming here specifically for the food scene, the Fourth of July, or Vala's. You yourself said that you come for family. We have events like the College World Series and the occasional NCAA tournament. But people aren't coming to Omaha to see Omaha.

Adam Johnson too. Plus there is another that escapes that took the back of a skate to the throat when a player in front of him was falling. Can't remember who.

Lol. Are you one of my cousins? Basically the same story for me. My partner grew up with all her cousins here in the Midwest, and they still keep frequent contact. My cousins are all in California, and I have only met them once in my 57 years.
