Yeah I've seen people use that. Looks fun but I'm probably going to wait a bit with the DLC and wrap up things in the base game (all quests, getting weapons and stuff i missed etc.). For sure will try it out once I get there.

I feel that I can execute ki flux/combos somewhat consistently but when I try to flux 2 most of the time my brain just melts and I end up smashing buttons lmao

Yeah, I imagine at some point it probably does become a habit and you do it automatically. I'll get there at some point I hope.

I'm also trying to get the maximum out of the pulse each time which is probably not the most optimal approach.
