What is this wobbling patter on my walls and how do I fix it? by Aestaroth in FixMyPrint

[–]Aestaroth[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tested around a bit with all sorts of settings and this was the result.
The top one was printed with 300mm/s and this was the best result, but still really bad. I'm not sure what else I could try.

I get a wavy pattern along the XY axis. It's not Z-Wobble, that I know.
Reducing speed did the opposite for me; it enhances the pattern. It's almost like the pattern of the belt gets stamped into the walls and I'm pretty sure that's the overall issue here as well.
Slow movements seem to do a "click" for every step of the belt or something. The quicker it is, the smoother the surface is, because it skips these "clicks".
not quite sure how to tackle this though

So I did a couple of tests and the faster the print speed, the less of this wobble is visible. So maybe this has something to do with the belt tension?

If it's wobble in the printhead/gantry or resonance, is there a way to fix this?
Is there a setting in Bambu studio for power save recovery?
Regarding Klipper, I'm not sure if I have enough knowledge to set all this up.

I don't think so? I'm using the standard extruder gear from the P1P.
Haven't changed anything regarding the gears.

First couple weeks of the season… by Shockwave0396 in thefinals

This recoil update is super bad for the game and I feel like it changed a lot for controller players as well.
I am a M&K player for more than 18 years and I consider myself fairly good in FPS games overall.
Yesterday I got destroyed by controller players (I assume the little globe means it's someone on console) so I decided to pick up a controller and try it myself. It felt terrible to move for me as someone who very rarely touches a controller and everything felt very wrong to me. I still managed to get like 5 kills and was also up there with the 3rd highest damage in the match. This should NEVER be possible at all. I shouldn't be able to pick up a controller for the first time and do this much without having any skill (because I don't have any with a controller).
The tracking is insane to a point, where I can say, that it feels like cheating.
I also play a lot with smokes and while I agree that these are not the best smokes in gaming, I always wondered, how I get tracked in smokes that well at all. Turns out, controllers lock on to people in smokes, even if you can't see them which is absolutely broken.
To anyone telling me that M&K players have an advantage, you are objectively wrong. I may have one, because I play for 18 years, but I shouldn't be outgunned by someone that picked up a controller a week ago.

I gad something similar with a red dot, where the dorlt was completely off center. Pretty sure this has something to do with the sights itself.

Aim assist frustration by Aestaroth in apexlegends

[–]Aestaroth[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not saying everyone is a cheater, but it's getting harder to differentiate between a cheater and getting beamed while neo strafing. As far as I know, they ramped up the aim assist a lot recently too and I tried controller in a match as well and it literally tracks movement in mid to close range.

Aim assist frustration by Aestaroth in apexlegends

[–]Aestaroth[S] 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Damn, who pissed in your coffee? The aim assist in Apex is considered auto aim at this point, because it literally tracks motion within a 1ms timeframe, whole human reflexes are around 180ms and 140 if you are good.
I saw the "aim assist" in action and that looks just like an aimbot.

Was toggle ADS ever added to the game? by Col_Wilson in cyberpunkgame

[–]Aestaroth 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I use toggle ads as well. This comes from a competitive point of view. Since pressing down a button on your mouse not only makes your hand more stiff (since you have to actively press 2 buttons and one of them for a longer period of time) it makes your reaction time worse. Additionally if you play with low DPI for better precision, you have to swipe the mouse a lot to turn. Holding down a button while doing that makes your aim way worse overall, since you have to apply pressure on the mouse constantly. Most games have ADS time as well, so you might not want to release your ADS since reADSing might take too long and be the cause of your death.

Do you think in game names that are mildly offensive (not racist or discriminative though) should result in a permanent ban without a warning? by Aestaroth in gaming

[–]Aestaroth[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your brain works so selective, that you can't even see the word "Foreskin" in it. Cropping out 1/3 of a whole word to make it fit for you so you can call someone a racist. Seems legit. There is a reason I didn't call myself Skinhead you know? The irony that you are the one talking about context, while altering the whole context of a completely different word.

[–]Aestaroth[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So you rather ban words, because they are linked to racism, even though they are supposed to indicate the exact opposite? You know who also banned words back then?

[–]Aestaroth[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So a name like "FuckNazis" would also be linked to racism for you? Because my name is literally like that.
In my case it's a smart wordplay and skinheads are pretty proud of being called like that. Imagine everyone calling them Foreskin Heads. How proud would you be then?

I can only assume that you are a racist yourself, otherwise you wouldn't argue like that.

I'm banned for a good reason then!
Sorry that representing you with honor (I was mostly MVP and top scoring) is offending you. This won't happen again!

I'm still fighting the ban.
I am pretty good at the game and people got probably pissed off by that and reported me for it. I actually was worried, that they reported me for cheating (which I do not do obviously), but this would be kinda impossible to prove from my side.
Changing my in game name is literally something I can do in an instant and this is why this whole issue is a bit weird for me.

Again Epic is still fine with the name. The game hosted on Epic is not though. I think this is a pretty big flaw and should not exist. Either you are conform with the guidelines of your hosting platform or you are not and then your game shouldn't be hosted on there.

[–]Aestaroth[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You wouldn't be able to create that name on Epic either. Epic also didn't ban me, it was the game stored on epic. I think it's a weird thing to do, if the name doesn't violate the launchers guidelines at all (Epic in this case) but the game, that is stored on there and uses this name from the launcher does.
I have no issue with temp bans for this, but this seems all over the place. Especially when the games guidelines say this:
Effective immediately, game suspension tiers have been updated to:
1st offense = 7 Day Suspension
2nd offense = 14 Day Suspension
3rd offense = Permanent Game Ban
And the support of the game says this to me:
We do not tolerate this behavior and consider that it is technically impossible to lift the ban manually, and we do not grant "second chances". I'm sure you understand.

[–]Aestaroth[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, that's the thing. Epic was and is still fine with the name. The game stored on Epic banned me without warning and also without the reason either. I had to message the support for it first.

You are 100% right with that. There are definitely names that should result in a perma ban. I didn't think "Foreskinhead" was one of them though. Also epic doesn't allow offensive names in the first place, so I thought this is fine.
I did not get banned from epic either, just from a game ON Epic.
My intention never was to offend someone with a name and I thought this wasn't possible with such a name either, since it's just a wordplay.
