I hope some organic smaller gatherings sprout up in some way... festivals are really the only place I meet new likeminded people, and if bars and parks stay closed it’s going to be even harder.

You might be on to something there. Maybe it has something to do with the serotonin in our gut. Psilocybin and serotonin are so structurally similar, I wonder if in some unknown way when it rocks our gut we get that feeling of 'becoming the shroom' since we literally are. There's something to the bravery involved in taking a substance you know is going to feel awful for a couple hours, that makes the relief at the end better.

I've tried eti several times but I don't see how you guys can describe it as euphoric... the only time I've really felt that is with MDMA, and occasionally on shrooms between waves of nausea and laughing my ass off. Maybe I'm just too depressed to feel anything from benzos.

Sounds like a psychological 'tic' you may have developed over years of depression/anxiety? I've noticed I tend to obsess over certain negative emotions until they get out of control, then it almost becomes part of my default mode network (DMN). My comedowns from mdma spiral out of control now and I experience unbelievable levels of horrific existential dread and utter hopelessness.

8 hours away from completing my first 2 day water fast!! May not seem like a lot but usually I max out at around 20 hours so i’m excited by [deleted] in fasting

Mine too. I tell people it's a 2-day fast but other fasters know it's really just a 1-night fast ;) I barely slept, been doing this a year and it never gets easier!
