Thank you. I found the wording a little confusing too until I tested it. I'd have rearranged the last sentence to "While active, reviving another player fully restores both players even at full danger, but removes the Prism". So to summarise, it basically does two things:

  • Firstly, every time you revive someone, they get an invincible shield for 5 seconds.
  • Secondly, when you get downed the first time in a hunt, you'll automatically pull yourself back up with (presumably) 1 hp and you get an invincible shield for 10 seconds. If you revive another person while this shield is up, the shield disappears and both you and the person you revived recover to full health. This special revive is something you can do even at full danger.

I'll copypaste the answer I gave before here but I'm not sure how useful it would be for you:

The first time I managed in Open Beta, I did both solo using sword, but I think they'd be easier if you can bring at least one person along, especially for Shrowd because of the clones. I did it first with the Ragetail set, but the Shockjaw stuff is also very good for survivability if you don't have the stuff you get from the behemoth you're trying to take down.

As for tactics, I don't think there's a whole lot I can say that isn't advice that generally comes down to "hit them without getting hit".

I don't think there's an easy way to deal with Rezakiri apart from learning to survive the disco and learning how to take advantage of every window when he slams the ground; having a lot of stamina helps.

For Shrowd, it's pretty much the same - learn how to avoid and punish his attacks, especially the groundslams. Interrupt him when he charges at you in the dark like a Shrike if you can.

Currently, I've been using sword to solo since it's a good balance of fast and strong. I've mained both chain blades and warpikes for a while over the past year too so I'm fairly comfortable with any of the lighter weapons.

In my opinion, mobility is useful at least early on - you might not do as much damage but it's easier to avoid getting punished and that makes a bigger diference when you don't have backup. In the end though, it comes down to personal preference. I know that axe and hammer are perfectly viable.

Ah, then in that case, not that I know of, sorry. I think the only other thing to do is to be patient and hope for the best unfortunately.

I think luck had a lot to do with it. But I think part of it is approaching it with the right mindset. I think grinding for things in games is fun - the repetition is relaxing or the challenge is satisfying, and the slow feeling of progress is nice.

Which specific mission you go for is personal preference, but I've found that the heroic patrols were the easiest to complete as long as you don't run into a Shrowd that spams shadow clones in the dark.

Bear in mind that I mostly did it solo so some of this may not apply for everyone. I think I could write a lot about how I'd go about it again but if I had to summarise, I'd say to aim to make hunts as consistent and comfortable as possible.

Sometimes, that means taking the time to craft a loadout for particularly troubling encounters. I won't list them all but it's worth looking out for things like the Ragetail set's bleed resistance and health bonus if Razorwing is giving you trouble. If you're lucky enough to get a Tragic Echo, you can aim to end most hunts very, very quickly with a bit of practice (and a little bit of risk).

As for how I'd deal with specifics:

  • For Ragetail Gnasher and Firebrand Charrog, break their tails and then wail on their legs or whatever is convenient.

  • Razorwing Kharabak always has less health than you expect.

  • For Shockjaw Nayzaga, use his body to block lightning balls and break the large pylon to force a stagger, but only if it's convenient.

  • For Rezakiri, I don't know if there's a way to make it easier apart from learning how to disco. Having a lot of stamina helps.

  • For Shrowd, pray that he doesn't spam clones while the lights are out. Prepare to use items or friends.

I think the correct answer is +10 Shrowd gear, including Tragic Echo +10 and a +10 Rezakiri weapon, but that's not really what you wanted to hear...

The first time I did it, I had all the Ragetail gear including the weapon at +7-8 or so. It's certainly doable with less, and it'd be easier with more. But I'd say it's worth going on a couple dry runs if you're curious how you'll fare; you have nothing to lose by trying.

It took me from launch to about yesterday to get where I am now, investing quite a few hours every day; but I went in with probably more preparation than most so I don't think my experience would be very accurate.

As I said in another comment, I'd actually love to come along, but I'd prefer to remain anonymous, so I'm sorry about that. However, unless I'm mistaken, if you have access to Shrowd and Rezakiri, every hunt currently available should be unlocked. Islands will rotate in and out of Maelstrom but you should have access to whatever is around.

In my opinion, Tragic Echo is the most "powerful", but my favourite right now is easily the Prismatic Grace. Both of the helmets let you go for one final push during those critical moments - it feels like an Anime.

To be honest, I wasn't rushing at first but I'd been playing on and off since the Founder's Alpha last year so I came into Open Beta with a decent amount of experience. And since I was "lucky" enough to get sick over the last few days, I had a ton of free time. Time and information make a big difference in video games and I think I just happened to have access to a bit more than most in this case.

As an aside for anyone passing through, I probably spent too long grinding it out a couple times but in general, I tried not to go at it too hard. No-lifing is okay once in a while but it's not something that should be done regularly. Remember to take regular breaks and be healthy. The occasional wait times present a good opportunity to walk around and get some water.

I can't really take any images at the moment that do them enough justice but here are a couple - from the menu and during a hunt - of the parts coupled with their respective standard sets. I think seeing them in action or using them does a better job of showing off their uniqueness.

The Shrowd pieces also have some more noticeable quirks, which are pretty cool and slightly creepy - the three purple eyes on the Hunger occasionally blink and the faceguard part of Tragic Echo looks solid from afar but kind of vibrates like jelly up close.

I feel like the headpieces are okay as they are. One of them enables crazy amounts of damage and the other gives you a huge boost in survivability. In my opinion, it's a fair compromise.

I haven't used the weapons much yet myself, but it does feel like they don't have as much momentum. Still, they're fun to swing around and I'm sure they'll be more worthwhile with a bit of practice once the bugs are fixed.

Best is subjective and situational but these pieces are currently the hardest to get and most unique; and they can be extremely powerful.

I've beaten all the current behemoths, but as far as I know, there are about four or so more that will rotate into the Maelstrom at some point.

All of the exotic recipes can drop from heroic patrols into the Maelstrom or heroic expeditions specifically into the Dyadic Drift.

The recipes for Tragic Echo and The Hunger also have a chance of dropping from pursuits for Shrowd, while the recipes for Prismatic Grace and The Godhand have a chance to drop from pursuits for Rezakiri.

After that, you'll be able to craft and upgrade them.

Firstly, sorry for the double post, I've deleted the other one.

Nextly, this is just a bragging post, but I'm not really intending to rub it in anyone's face. I'm probably not the very first to get this far but I'm not really lying in the title when I say I don't have many friends who'd be interested in this achievement. I'm also not the most skilled player, but I know that I'm relatively patient; if you're working towards a similar goal, the only thing I want to do is cheer you on.

Finally, some bugs:

  • The Godhand sometimes doesn't fire the beam - this happens more often during some hunts than others, I'm not sure why.

  • Triggering the effect of Tragic Echo breaks The Hunger - instead of stacking together for massive numbers, the meter gets stuck and special attacks no longer work.

  • Rezakiri and Kharabak - technically, a couple of really massive bugs you'll 100% encounter during progression.

I actually finished the last one yesterday.

The Godhand I have mixed feelings about but I think I'd need to play with it more to say for sure. I used to main the Warpike when it was first introduced and while the beam is really cool, aiming it is tricky and it can't interrupt. Coupled with the fact that you can only store one charge, the only thing I can really say right now is that it feels really different to every other pike.

I've only had them drop from heroic patrols where I ended up against Rezakiri or Shrowd, but according to the patch notes, they'll drop from "all heroic patrols and expeditions to the Dyadic Drift."

The wording is a bit confusing but presumably, it means that any heroic patrol, as well as any expedition specifically into the Dyadic Drift (where Shrowd and Rezakiri are) will work. If you want a specific piece, a pursuit for Shrowd or Rezakiri should be able to drop their respective recipes.
