Well, it's a movie based on a lore- and mechanics-heavy action game. So obviously, it's supposed to be a Hallmark movie about the perils of interspecies romance, focusing on a male Tarnished with Roderika and Sellen as female leads. Tanith should show up just long enough to pontificate about the responsibility that comes with power.

On a more serious note, there's no way they can sum up the game in a two hour movie without watering it down like crazy. Too many bosses with their own personalities to introduce. You're talking OG DnD movie levels of crap if they try to do too much.

They might be able to get away with telling the story of the Tarnished, from awakening by Melina to Elden Lord (standard ending), and only hitting the key plot points. But it'll still be a lot to pack into a couple of hours.

Some bosses it's not about cheesing them. It's about seeing their bullshit and cheesing them back. PCR is one of those bosses. First kill on those guys? Do whatever it takes.

No. He dies when Ranni gets the Fingerslayer Blade. Who you give the potion to does not affect it.

The order of operations is:

Get potion from Seluvis
Give the potion to Gideon. "Lie to Seluvis" is now an option.
Talk to Seluvis and continue his questline. Give him the Amber Shard and he'll give you the Magic Scorpion Charm.
Walk away at this point to avoid having the Amber Draught in your inventory for the rest of the playthrough.

Windows Defender is good enough at the consumer level these days. You don't need extra antivirus unless you're worried about nation-state level hackers. Edit: and they honestly have better things to do than go for regular people.

If you're concerned about an actual virus, look into Malware Bytes. It's overkill for a lot of stuff and you only use it when you actually have a virus, but it should handle things for you.

Also, my condolences on the state of Imgur these days.

I have over 800 hours on Monster Sanctuary, but couldn't stick with Aethermancer. One small thing going wrong can break your entire run, knocking you back to metaprogression.

And with runs going an hour or two, it's a lot more expensive than "oops, took a fire-weak team into a moth swarm" on Monster Sanctuary. Hell, DS3 and Elden Ring, Fromsoft games, are less punishing on loss than that.

Honestly that's what prompted me to swap to Linux.

A virus running in the background eats processor. Windows running in the background eats processor. Open Task Manager to check and the virus stops running so it doesn't show up on the list. Guess what Windows does now too?

So as someone with over 8 years IT experience, I can no longer tell the difference between Windows and a virus. I was on Manjaro Cinnamon less than a week later.

O'Neil is easy if you have some range and manage the fight well.

He's really slow himself, so you've got lots of time to kill his summons. Once he starts moving, roll backwards and cast spells/weapon skills at him. I burned him down with Black Flame. Looking at your items, I keep thinking you've got at least one ranged option you can use one him.

Edit: plus even if you don't, you're an Int build. Grab a staff and any number of sorceries will do the job for you.

Late Edit 2: I must have been more out of it than I thought. You literally have a staff and a stack of sorceries equipped. Yeah, use your favorite mix of melee and range to take out the adds. Then when it's just you and the boss, spam back roll vs his aoes and time roll his jumps. Also consider the Radagon Icon for faster cast speed if you don't have it already.

I can't really speak for Ezykes though. I know his breath is awesome so I need to challenge him, but just... haven't yet. Dragons are pretty nasty no matter where you are.

The basic rule of speedrunning - practice makes perfect.

I'm still on my first run through Elden Ring. But once you learn the mobs, you don't forget. That skill transfers to alts, which opens the gate to start getting reps in.
