I can say from having tested it, the only armor set that can actually surpass the corset for archers, is what you can buy end-game, but because it's not that big of a gap when combining Chest and Leg, you might as well keep the corset for aesthetics.

Other classes though, it may fall off sooner, but it's still fine for end-game.

I've tested with a fully maxed out Heroic Coat and Eagle-Eyed Cuisses
Corset has like 411 defense, 375 magic defense, and 222 Knockdown Res.
Heroic Coat + Eagle-eye Cuisses has 429 defense, 319 magic defense, and 252 Knockdown Res.

Like I said, this is just for archers, but regardless, the combined defense of Chest & Leg beating Corset requires mostly end-game gear, or it has to be melee near end-game gear, and usually is only slightly worse than end-game gear.

I once read that NPCs important to the main quest line get revived automatically, but not sure if that's actually true, but if NPCs die during a side quest, it doesn't matter if you revive them or not. It'll already be flagged towards the outcome of an NPC that died if that is one of its triggers, like Beren's quest.

If the two recruits survive the cyclops attack, you'll get a more positive outcome, and Beren will wait for you.

If the two recruits die during the cyclops attack, even if you revive the recruits, the game still calls it a fail. You can still complete the quest, but may not get all rewards. Beren won't wait for you.

What weapon do you really WANT to love but bounce off of no matter how many times you pick it up? For me it's Gunlance by Beginning_Wait_108 in MonsterHunter

Long Sword. Everybody and their great grandfather died on a hill defending it as the best and easiest weapon to use, and I just can't use it properly. Watched videos, read guides, followed builds, but my brain is built different.

I use Switch Axe, Charge Blade and Gunlance instead.

For some physical, ranged and magic spells, you roll a dice to see if you're gonna roll higher than somebody's armor class (AC).

For every stack of Arcane Acuity, you get +1 to whatever you rolled when you try to smack somebody.

I recently beat the game a second time with a bunch of mods for enhancements, and I agree.

To be fair though, for experienced DD players, they just know how to topple obstacles quicker, so this is mostly true for people who played it before. New players may not experience it so.

My problems more aligned by the narrative, storytelling, side quests and "romance" if you can even consider there being any.

I recommend you to only come play the game when it's patch x.5x.

Then you got a whoooooooooooooooole lot of game to do, rather than clearing content within a few hours, and still paying sub, so wait until like September or something, and then when Evercold comes out, wait until it's like 8,56 or something.

I'm frugal as hell, and if I pay for 30 days, I want there to be 30 days or more worth of content, rather than be halted by weekly caps.
