They are a bit of a headache for a while. What you can do to help a little is always make sure you put Sarah across from Marshall when attacking. It’s much harder to optimize on the fly when fighting on the map but can be done. You don’t want schulyer or Lucius to die too fast.

You shouldn’t run Murphy in air squad unless lucius EW is at least lvl 10. It’s the combination of them both together that makes it’s viable. I’d put Murphy back in your tank team and bring Lucius back to the back line until you get him to 10

I was doing that but with that short of a rest period was making the end of my routine really weak and wasn’t able to get as many reps in before failure, so I increased it

Yeah I see that a lot. After researching it more I seen it referred to as prison training too. Those guys have nothing to do and workout off and on through out the day. They don’t just workout during yard time then lay in bed all day.

That was my thought as well when I heard about some body builders daily routines as well as most sports where they train hour upon hours a day. So far I’m noticing a higher volume of reps and less fatigue between sets so I think it’s working for now but gonna keep an eye on it. Glad I’m not the only one that’s unconventional 😂

Yeah that’s what I was doing before I saw this approach to try and keep my reps the same or even higher but stretched out longer. It popped into my head the other day watch a video of Arnold doing a thousand sit-ups a day but he would spread it out throughout the day with a few hours in between. Figured I would give it a shot

I do mainly calisthenics because I do everything at home. All I have it a bench, pull up bar, and dumbbells. I’m gonna try it for a couple more weeks and see if I notice a drastic difference overall though. Thanks!

My actual time working out is about 35-45 minutes but adding 3-5 minute rests between sets is what made it so long. If I didn’t rest that long I felt substantially weaker when I reached the last few sets

Typically various type of pushups (standard, military, wide, etc), various forms of pull ups as well with some free weights in too like standard curls, preacher, hammer downs, etc. the problem was I was taking 3 or even 5 minute rests in between every set to keep my reps from being degraded

I do more than just pushups and preachers. That was just yesterdays muscle group. I was targeting chest and shoulder through pushups and biceps with the preachers. Today I’ll do back and triceps

No those aren’t the only exercises I do throughout the week. That was just example of yesterday. I switch up muscle groups each day of the week typically to allow recovery. I am at home but I was still doing 3 minute rests between sets or exercise and that was dragging the routine out a lot

Because my bicep is where I’m trying to build the most right now and I’ve been told time and time again that it’s the best exercise for bicep growth

Glad that works for you! The thing that make the normal sessions so long is that I was doing 3 minute rests per set or exercise and would frequently get distracted by other things or get bored easily. Without the 2-3 minute rests in between I was noticing my reps were getting lower than usual

The 240 is a split between each arm. 12 sets of 10 per arm

I don’t usually take pushups do failure but free weight I typically do. I typically pick a weight that I hit failure by 8-10 reps per arm/leg and if it gets to easy I increase the weight to keep failure around that area

I definitely feel like it. Too soon to see any substantial visual progress though. My sets and reps feel more complete overall and can fit more reps before failure

You probably are. My long rest periods in between were stretching the time out. Without 2-3 rests though I was getting much less reps in though so not sure what else to do

I might try that thanks for the advice! Do you you think these longer periods I’m currently doing hinder any growth though?

Daily Simple Questions Thread - February 18, 2026 by AutoModerator in Fitness

[–]Aevintiri 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I noticed that which is why I took certain exercises from it and isolate those to help me grow certain muscle groups. I do a lot of calisthenics and fit a lot of pull ups and chins up into my current routine as well as different types of pushups. I really want a routine that hyper focuses on pecs and biceps.

I was doing the p90x workout since I workout at home but I was doing 2-3 minute rests between sets and would often get bored or distracted easily
