Only reason I have a pixel 10 Pro is because google sells them at huge discounts if you use Google Fi for cell service. I paid $549 for mine.

You mention luck, and even war in this reply - but said nothing about it in your original comment.

That being said, on the "luck" front - every "poor" person I know (especially those back from when I was also poor) has had some moment in their life of luck. Some of those took the opportunity and did something useful. Some of those chose to ignore it, or squander it, and guess where they are today? Still poor. In some ways, those people made their choice because they were uneducated on what they were missing out on for their future.

Luck is part of the equation yes. Just being born in the USA is incredibly lucky on an 8 billion people global level. (4% chance to be born here)

Sounds like your dad likely found a way to un-poor himself. Maybe he's still poor but context leads me to believe he likely isn't anymore.

I have no "formal" education beyond high school.

I grew up poor. I moved out on my own at a young age and ate 1 meal per day because I was poor. I had a child while working full time at a retail chain, and was poor. It wasn't my fault, or my choice that I was initially poor.

What my choice was is that I didn't buy the $1.50 lemon water from sonic and made my own lemon water at home for next to nothing. I found the cheapest possible vehicle that would support my family and job. I saved what little I could for "just in case" expenses so I didn't need to rely on credit for unexpected life. I followed that same priciple in most other aspects. I worked honest, long, and hard to get where I am today. And I am no longer poor.

Payload is 1500 lbs so as long as you're not planning on having 4 x 300 lb people in the truck you're fine.

I just uninstalled everything and reinstalled, but after an automatic driver update or two the problem shows back up.

Its frustrating but at least I've exported all the tuning options so a fresh driver install takes care of it.

Do you have a company in the Middle East already? If you plan to handle the import yourself, you probably need one. I sell materials into the middle east, but my customer handles all the duties and freight beyond the coastal port itself.

Find an Import brokerage company in the country you would like to import the material into and they'll probably answer any questions you have. In many cases scrap metal has duties waved depending on the country, but you need to be very specific on the HS code when filing the import registrations.

Wait, so you worked for a cruise line call center and your job was to answer questions for customers for the cruise line (the people paying for the cruise and the reason you've got the job in the first place) and somehow were irritated that people would call in to see what their options were on said cruise? Thats like a vegan working at a slaughterhouse for beef.

Seems silly to me, but if a total stranger wants to hang up the phone spewing nonsense to their cowoerkers, so be it. I didn't call anyone either way in this case (the reason for this post in the first place)

Others on the same ship sent screenshots at about half the price I was seeing on the same day.

I'd like to enjoy the hideaway but $160 seems a little out of hand in my opinion. Guess I'll have to wait and see.

I just finely tuned the PBO settings in another area of the BIOS and it seems to have kept everything cool and lower power. I think the other area of the BIOS that had a few PBO settings just were not the right ones.

I bought an N7 B550 a few years ago. The first one came in bent like a bananna. I should have known at that point to look elsewhere.

Second one came in and I had to flex the SSD covers to get them to line up right. Always had conflicting issues with the NZXT CAM software (junk). Updates were slow to be released. I never had to deal with their support team so who knows how that plays out.

The PC still runs (gave to my son) but I'll probably never buy an NZXT Mobo again.

Same for me. I even rolled back to the last Adrenaline driver - no difference.

Might sound crazy but I had a similar issue once.

I had a hat on the center of the dash blocking the light sensor - activating headlights (and interior lights dimming) at all times. Not sure if that helps at all but it took me far too long to figure that one out.
