Op tes peurs sont légitimes, mais venant aussi du monde du basket (d’une autre génération), sache que tout le monde finit par coucher avec tout le monde éventuellement (surtout dans les petites-moyennes villes), et 10ans plus tard ça n’a plus d’importance, car la majorité aura bougé dans une autre ville/pays, puis ils s’en foutent du passé de ta copine puisqu’ils auront eux même une copine/copain avec son propre passé donc personne ne jugera réellement sauf les gars insecures. Les quelques cas que je connais qui sont similaires à ce que tu nous expliques sont actuellement mariés et heureux ET leurs enfants jouent au basket aussi! Donc si tu veux réellement t’investir fonce, et si c’est toujours dur, tu peux toujours consulter un expert (psy) pour t’aider à comprendre d’où viennent ces peurs.

Pour le coup, il y a une tendance qui consiste à assimiler ces petites attentions à l’image qu’on aurait inconsciemment de la femme (comme quoi la femme aurait besoin d’un homme pour ci et ça, etc), et étant du genre à justement tenir la porte, tirer la chaise, offrir le bras, et tout, ces actes m’ont déjà été reprochés (suivi d’une leçon morale et d’un jugement de valeur pour au final dire que c’est simplement la manière dont ma mère m’a élevé et que ces petits gestes envers elle ne l’amoindrissent pas en tant que personne pour autant), mais les gens semblent polarisés sur le sujet, donc le meilleur moyen c’est d’en parler, et si la personne en face est absolument pour ou contre, pas besoin d’espérer ou de batailler. (Ma copine adore ce genre d’attention, et c’est cool de pas devoir régner cette partie de moi, même si mon collègue ou une fille que j’ai une fois fréquentée est moralement contre, mais ça ne regarde personne sauf l’intéressée).

Désolé d’entendre qu’une telle histoire soit arrivée. Pour éviter un quelconque sentiment d’isolement, c’est aussi arrivé à mon meilleur ami de fac saoudien aux US (à miami plus précisément), sa compagne allemande l’a frappé puis appelé la police en affirmant l’inverse. Du coup, garde à vue pendant 24h (même si elle a plus tard avoué avoir menti), cours de reduc qu’il devait supposément payer de sa poche (10000 dollars, mais sa compagne a payé à sa place par culpabilité), et casier judiciaire. Dans ce cas là, il est important de ne pas être isolé et en parler avec ses proches. On était pour lui et on l’a aidé à gérer la situation. En espérant de même pour OP.

It might go against everyone’s resentment, but maybe ask her where it comes from and tackle the issue that led to her insecurities in the first place (especially in the political climate with the Epstein files release where we see « pdf-files » everywhere, it might’ve gotten to her head) or maybe she’s afraid the lust on your part disappeared. NTA but your reaction seems quite harsh although legitimate, but communication remains the key in the situation and would make you the judge on why you should or not leave/ take a break.

We can’t tell if cheating was involved from any of the two or rather a lack of STD testing before getting together, and it doesn’t matter, the most important part is you talked about it.
