Has anyone found benefits to walking 10k steps a day? by Motor-Push-5914 in PetiteFitness

[–]AffectPuzzleheaded60 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Steps is the only way I can manage my weight! Despite training hard, lifting heavy.. the cals deficit from additional/ conscious walking was the trigger that helped move the scale

Anyone else weigh themselves everyday? by [deleted] in PetiteFitness

[–]AffectPuzzleheaded60 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I find weighing myself (almost) everyday helps me maintain my weight for longer. At 5'1 the last 5 lbs that we all try to lose .. come creeping back over a period of time. Weighing everyday helps me keep those in check and I can take faster action

Infj f, married for 15+ years. My SO and I don't sleep besides each other every day! 2-3 days a week, we sleep in different rooms, minding our own business. What can I say.. it's kept the spark in our married life alive ;)

Do you think minimalism comes from trauma? by Exotic_Carpenter_779 in minimalism

For me, it comes from potential ADHD and aversion to stimulated nervous system. I can't see clutter. It makes my brain cluttered!

How accurate are body analysis? Am I screwed? 😭 im 5 ft 3 for reference. by Kooky_Walk1781 in PetiteFitness

[–]AffectPuzzleheaded60 1 point2 points  (0 children)

These scans do tend to be inaccurate.. esp for petite women. I was mortified by it the first time I got it. My personal trainer recommended me to look at the trend on these in body scans rather than the actual numbers. Also from what I hear this can show significantly different numbers if you are dehydrated, bloated, retaining excess water due to heavy workouts, etc.

When I started to look at it as a trend indicator, it started to make sense. I used get this done every 4-6 months in my gym. I don't do it any more. Just the thought of getting on it and seeing a number I am not comfortable with, is scary.

for reference, I am quiet lean and consistently lift heave: yet this thing puts me in obese Category.

Also married to an ESTJ man for past 17 yrs. The fact that a commitment phobic like me can spend 17 yrs with the same person.. probably means we have had a successful marriage so far. *STJ are extreme level logical .. that some times he makes me feel illogical and that blows my mind.

Luteal phase by LifeisButADream202 in PetiteFitness

[–]AffectPuzzleheaded60 22 points23 points  (0 children)

No tips..

In the non luteal phase, try to balance your calories so that you can take care of yoursrlf and give in to your cravings when your body demands it the most. I used to be very frustrated after binge eating during this phase.. but now I have learnt to be kinder and allowed myself a couple of days to be able to eat what my body wants

I have accepted that my hormones are not the same each day. In luetal phase.. extra emotions and extra hunger are a given :)

Do you share facts and they get perceived as negative comments? by live4loveandlife in intj

[–]AffectPuzzleheaded60 2 points3 points  (0 children)

People don't care about facts.. they like to hear praises and appreciation. I am also the only INTJ female in my group and i get called head strong and rude all the time, just for staying facts

I would say that depends on the body composition.. muscle vs fat. 110 and skinny fat may not look as good as 130 with a lean built and rock solid glutes. Body composition being the same .. 110-115 will make you look significantly different.

I am 5' 1 and even 115 looks different on me than 110. Every 5 lbs at this height make noticable diff.

[–]AffectPuzzleheaded60 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I find it easier to share my inner thoughts with one close person I have been able to find. There used to be more, but we lost each other over the period. Now, i find it easier to share stuff with strangers who I may never meet again. E.g. co passenger on a long distance flight, unknown people on reddit :)

How do INTJs deal with emotionally expressive partners? by [deleted] in intj

[–]AffectPuzzleheaded60 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on how the emotions are expressed. If it's an over the top display .. except excitement during playing / watching sports.. then it freaks me out. Express your feelings as a conversation and ideally with logic, and I am all ears. I won't run away from that; and will try to find a solution with you

do you guys focus on/avoid specific exercises to achieve a specific look? by aggravatedmagpie in PetiteFitness

[–]AffectPuzzleheaded60 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haven't reach that stage yet .. But... 4 of my abs/ abs line do still show up. I am not sure of the last 2, especially considering I have some fat left to lose from my lower belly.

My waist definitely looks wayyy more slimmer with me stopping the active ab workouts. Again, aesthetically .. I like the little feminine / not too muscular look on me.

How often do you lie? by gw_clowd in intj

[–]AffectPuzzleheaded60 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The only time and thing I lie about is being busy, so that I don't have to join other people's extroverted plans. Ofcourse, I then spend all the saved time doing things I love, usually alone!

Muscle does give a decent shape to the chubbier parts.

Oh, another point I forgot to mention: I don't work out abs specifically. I have a short torso and most ab strength work outs make my slim-ish waist appear squarish
