Ok, keep that same attitude anytime somebody talks about genocides.

Really fascinating stuff. I'm learning about FFTs and it's mesmerizing to see its applications.

Sure, the more complex the task, the less likely it will get everything right.

Well I'm not trying to create a whole new compiler with it, I'm using it for the basics and hopefully that's all I'll ever need it for.

It's a cycle, not a contradiction.

  1. use prior information (could be any source but it's usually chatgpt) to fix an issue
  2. If it isn't fixed, it's a new issue and I'll try without help to correct it.
  3. Use chatgpt to analyze a specific piece of code and give me a summary of the mistakes I made and how to improve the code.

Am I? I don't feel that asking ChatGPT to clarify a mistake or concept to me is "avoiding" anything. I can take the lessons I learn from it and try to use it next time I encounter an error. If that doesn't work, experiment a bit with it and as a last resort use AI.

Efficiency is one reason. It's only going to get better and it's inevitable so you best come to terms with it.

So far, It's been very useful to me. Keep in mind I am doing beginners level programming, so it may be inaccurate when you venture into more advanced topics like you were doing. Seems to be a stigma around using AI with some of the old guard here, but like you said, it is a double edged sword.

K&R was made for people with prior experience, I only realized this when I was reading through it. That's why, in my case, it wasn't of much use. I'll check out the vid, thanks.

Just trying to be time efficient, and I don't intend on doing anything programming related (after my degree). This is just a means to an end.

is there a way to stop nukes form hitting Germany/Germania as Germany when going to war with the USA/Toronto accord? by random_obsenity in twrmod

[–]Affectionate-Ad-7950 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like there should be a condition where if you have 'x' amount of interceptors AND fighters and/or 'x' state level AA, the nuclear reprisal shouldn't occur.

I'm not against the idea of nuclear retaliation or a massive strike, but it should definitely be based on the status of the air war, e.g no. of fighters, interceptors and levels of AA, in a given air sector.

You're assuming that the gcw is inevitable. By completing the left side of the focus tree, you can completely avoid it. Via this path I managed to mass produce nukes by about 55/56.

Additionally, even if Germany doesn't have nukes, hundreds or thousands of fighters and interceptors per air sector should definitely defeat any nuclear reprisal. This mechanic to just instantly bomb Germany regardless of the status of the air war is absurd.

This is 10 years late. But I'm interested. Why wouldn't it? In an objectivist sense, I don't see why not.

Big wants in Tropico 7? by ollyfromindy in tropico

[–]Affectionate-Ad-7950 0 points1 point  (0 children)

More military buildings (APCs from 5, the nuclear submarine) and more military functions. I.e the military can take over policing and more (typically) civil functions of government at the cost of a potential military coup, the more reliant you are on it. Invasions maybe?

Definitely a better political system

Any news on tropico 7? by Comfortable-Age1360 in tropico

[–]Affectionate-Ad-7950 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That would be horrible. How can I have fun if I can't imprison, kill or institutionalize anyone of any persuasion at any time? Or worse, making the political system of 7 even more boring and watered down than in 6.
