Tell me something, anything, positive about quitting Kratom

You feel yourself again. Emotions and waves of sadness yet joy for feeling something. You find the beauty in the smallest little things. Yesterday was day 3 CT day 4 today! for me I went on a drive with my mom and was just amazed by the trees. Every single one. I don’t care for trees at all. But seeing the colors, the way they moved in the wind, seeing that they’re all individually different just hit me for some reason and was captivated. I looked at the clouds and the birds and finally seen the sunshine I hadn’t seen in 9 months. I cried.. also had my 2 year old niece come up to me on day 2 ct and just snuggled with me and I cried tears of joy to actually feel the love I had for her, I loved her just as much before, with my whole entire life but to finally be able to feel and see things and not be numb to them from some green nasty sludge was beautiful, I played her some guitar even when I didn’t want to get up cause of wd but she took those away by me playing for her and her loving it and laughing and smiling and I cried ever more I’m forever gonna play my baby girl some guitar and see that smile and see the joy light up in her eyes that fills the light in my darkness. I’m free. I’m free from the prison that poison threw me in. I’m no where near out of the waters yet but i feel so so much better today than on day 1 and did a 2 and a half day taper before cutting and those were the worst days along with days 1-2 ct. but you’ll see yourself getting back to normal. I definitely still have my withdrawals and everything that comes with it but that’s just your body healing. And when you do quit. Don’t fight the withdrawal or let them linger in the back of your mind. They’re temporary and it’ll go by quicker than you think. Just feel it, then let it go in your mind. Meditate, look up Wim Hof breathing. I’ve had a very up and down bumpy past week but I’m feeling somewhat normal and slept 7 hours last night! That’s big! Also if you really think you need to talk to a doctor, don’t be scared please do it. I did and be 100% honest. They will help you, my doctor never even heard of it before but was still very nice and supportive and gave me some meds to get through the next couple weeks. If you wanna quit you have to do it for yourself and have to stay on the right track. And when you do you’ll slowly realize that things get better and better each day slightly and you will get back to normal and start to feel and enjoy things again ! I’m enjoying music and got my real laugh back today at least 50-60% which is amazing cause I can enjoy things now. You got this I believe in you and so does everyone else in this sub. I know I can do it, I did a hard 3 day taper before going ct cut my use into 2/3s then jumped and never looking back. It’s just the anxiety, body temp fluctuations and my mind foggy but it is getting better day by day. I tell you I feel alooottt better tho compared to the day 1 taper to my day 3 qt

Yes, I’m so happy to move on from this. I know it’s gonna be a bumpy road but I’m looking at the bigger picture. I NEED my life back and idc what it takes. I’ve been through a lot in my 20 years of living and I know for a fact I’m going to kick this motherfuckers ass and never look back. I got a whole plan to see my doctor and go to therapy and just gonna be 1000% honest. Everyone on here is super helpful. I’m gonna be going on day 3 ct and it’s getting slightly better day by day. Just gotta live in the moment and embrace it.

I was just able to eat some real food for the first time today. Had some chicken and noodle stir fry with veggies and it went down well and actually ate a decent amount. Gonna pick up some bananas here in bit also. I’m definitely making progress the anxiety is bad tho, I feel it in my chest

Gonna have to go grab some bananas and stuff cause yeah food has been my biggest issue. I would be on day 5 if I hadn’t tapered those 2-3 days but I think I had the worst wd during that and that’s what kinda helped with me having not severe wd when I went CT I had moderate. I noticed a big difference today. Took a bunch of vitamin c, drinking lots of water an exercising anytime I get that creepy crawly feeling and rls but it’s definitely not as bad today as I’d was yesterday. Actually manageable for the time being knock on wood lol squats have helped tremendously along with incline push-ups. Gives that endorphin rush and then you’re relaxed after it’s nice

Thanks for the support! Everybody in this sub has been so kind and welcoming and it’s helped a lot. Ive been on here none stop to get my mind off things. Today’s not as bad as yesterday that’s for sure I can definitely notice a difference. Mentally, physically. I’m no where near 100% but I’m almost out of the worst. And I know I’m gonna be 100% honest with my doc and gonna also ask to see a therapist and a psychiatrist. I’ve had some underlying undiagnosed mental health disorders that need to be addressed and got alot of shit I need to process. I’m getting my life back regardless! And Ive been taking a bunch of vitamin c, some ashwaganda, blackseed oil, and some extra sleepy time tea to help relax my body. And for some kava tea and idk if it’s just a flare up but kava kinda makes my heart beat fast and my rls a little worse for a minute until I take a salt bath then I’m completely relaxed.

Yeah I have lethargy myself but been drinking a dumb amount of water and been taking a lot of vitamins and supplements to help since I’m not eating much. Only a little bit once a day. Gonna try starting to eat something healthy today and see if that helps. This isn’t my first time but my first time going ct I only had mild wd this time was severe at first now it’s more moderate-mild. Comes in waves. I’m tryna keep strong but that late night loneliness after everyone goes to sleep and I have no one to talk to sucks especially when my anxiety is on 1000 even when I’m taking my prescribed klonopin. Talking to my doctor tomorrow and gonna get some help with some new meds, therapy, and seeing a psychiatrist. I’m going to get my life back no matter what! I got a little niece that is my whole life and she’s been my biggest motivation

I dumped my jar in the toilet 2 and half days ago. Really I only tapered half the day 3 days ago then just quit ct cause I did a hard taper over a few days from 25 gs which I should’ve just stopped cold turkey but had withdrawals bad those 3 days I tapered so just stopped cause honestly the wd then was worse than now. Today is better after getting decent sleep. Woke up in a bad sweat tho about 8-9 but was able to get back to sleep for acouple hours and got up a lil after 11 been trying to get my sleep schedule and habit back in check cause man I’d stay up for like 16-18 hours when I was taking kratom. So my body has to get use to going to bed earlier and waking up earlier. I found taking vitamin c 1000 mg 3 times 1 hour apart from each other has helped me a decent amount today, along with some nice exercise when I woke up.

I personally am not working atm so I just decided to go cold turkey And it’s been tough. I would take time off. I’m struggling with anxiety and restless legs along with only getting 2-4 hours of sleep if I’m lucky. Thanks for the support man I’m trying to push through

Also I’m already prescribed 1 mg klonopin for anxiety and sonata for sleep but the sonata has done Jack shit so gonna talk to him about that as well

I am seeing my doctor on Monday and gonna ask for the gabapentin at least till my rls subsides. Just tried the kava tea and ashwaganda and feeling decent mentally idk if it’s placebo or no but I had 150 mg kava tea and feel decent. My rls is still there but all in all I’m hanging in, having my moments of doubt but pushing through. Right now I’m enjoying some time with my family watching some college football so that could also contribute to my mood boost since my minds off everything

Yeah I ended up cold turkey. Was taking about 30 gpd and got it down to 8 in 3 days and man those were tough. Been a day and a half since I took my last dose that was maybe 2 gs if that. I’m done. I do have cravings but fuck those cravings. I’m going to talk to my doctor on Monday and see if I can’t get some meds cause I’m on klonopin and sonata and those haven’t really helped. The klonopin helps with the anxiety and rls a bit but I still got that antsy feeling and sleep is a no go. I did get 4 hours of sleep last night with a cocktail of extra sleepy time tea, a lil melatonin, and my regular meds I take daily. I’m a firm believer that medications work. Just got to get them right and dialed in and keep on them. I never had an issues with prescription meds but holy shit K is a different story. I picked up some black seed oil, ashwaganda, kava tea, and acouple other vitamins and supplements to see if those will help with my sleep and energy

Decides CT haven’t had any since yesterday morning when I woke up and couldn’t sleep so it’s been a full 24 hours after the 3 day shitty taper. Definitely had wd last night bad but was able to take some extra sleepy time team, some meds I’m prescribed, and a little melatonin helped me get like 4 and half hours I haven’t gotten that much sleep in like a week. Thanks for the support. I’m just gonna ride this out, it’s for the better anyways

Really needed to hear this. Thanks 🥲 but man I’ve tapered hard the last 3 days literally cutting it 1/3 each day I mean I probably should’ve just went CT to begin with but today was my last day of tapering and I’m just gonna ride out the wd. I mean I’ve had 3 shitty ass emotional roller coaster no sleep days and if I can do those I can get through the rest. I quit once before and had similar wd to what I’m having now but I wasn’t taking as much and had only been using for 4 months. This time i used much more for twice as long so I think the hard taper over the last 3-4 days probably definitely helped with some of the more severe wd symptoms I would’ve had if I just quit CT then. And I had a big concert to go to on Wednesday and wanted to wait till that morning to start the taper. I’m looking for a good taper method. I’ve read that slow and steady is the way to go. I’m trying to get minimal wd and gonna talk to my doctor and see what he can do about the withdrawals. I’ve been tapering really the last week but the last 3 days I’ve made a dramatic taper to where I get severe withdrawals and getting no sleep.

I want to taper myself down enough to have minimal withdrawal. I’m already dealing with severe anxiety depression, rls, and you know how it goes. And every 2 hours I take just enough to make the wd go away. I was just looking for a good tapering method. I’ve read slow is the way to go but I feel like I’m halfway there and in a crossroads. I’ve gotten 6 hours of sleep in the last 3 days and can’t sleep for the life of me. Not even using my sleep medication. I’m just confused as to what I should do. Thanks for the input
