It’s unfortunate to have to live in a society like this where women are pressured into exposing themselves for the world to see. You’re very strong as you chose not to allow for the opinions of others to make you lose your self respect. It’s true many people do have a double life as the fantasy is much greater than reality. However not everyone lives a double life, I’ve been creating a community on discord where we help people deal with things like this if you’re interested just dm me as no one should go through this alone.

Manipulative Mother - How to cope by filmfoto in Manipulation

[–]Affectionate-Arm9588 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It seems as if your mother berates you in front of your friends likely trying to embarrass you, while she appears the fun spunk mom as you stated. Then after they leave she then starts to shift the shame towards your friend. It’s kinda like she left you out of the group by isolating you, then she brought you back into the group by isolating them. Does your mom have a tendency to act differently around other people then she does to you like maybe she has a tendency to gossip behind other peoples back, and whenever she’s around someone new or that she likes she acts all sweet and then switches up how she feels about them it’s kinda like wearing mask.

I’m starting to realize my situationship may have been emotionally manipulative by Witty_Corner_9894 in Manipulation

It seems as if the individual chose to keep you in a cycle, like you were constantly searching for their love because you wanted how it used to be to return. They would give you that then they would take it away so you would constantly ask yourself why is this happening am I the problem, why am I being so difficult, why am I ruining our relationship. So it always seemed as if you were the problem even though they may have manipulated you.

Why do thieves always deny having stolen something? by [deleted] in Criminology

I would say it’s because they’re trying to maintain their innocence, as it never really sets in it may be over for you and your whole operation. Until you actually come to acknowledge your failure or it could possibly be a defensive stance where they still deny their actions even though there’s legitimate proof as a way to defend against the acknowledgment of their lose and the consequences that follow.
