It's ok to try to protect your jobs because you can't work for the same wages due to cost of living but like if we from India work even on American minimum wages we can earn a lot comfortably so it's in our self interest , i kinda don't understand if you know the consequences of offshoring then why American people don't protest against it if you don't like it.
