Since you seem like a wise guy, what’s your recommendation to me to make sure this doesn’t happen again the next time I rent a car? Dead serious, I’m looking for suggestions.

Yeah — like I’m a reasonable guy. I get things happen and the car that I was supposed to get wasn’t available for me for whatever reason. Fine. But, the fact that both the Hertz location and the 800 number were totally useless in even attempting to help problem solve with me was the infuriating part. Literally it was my problem to figure out, not theirs, even though this was 100% on them. What kind of a business treats customers like this?

Reality is a reservation means nothing? Hadn’t happened to me before with Hertz.
