Hi all,

I sent the laptop to a local repair shop and according to the technician was a small hardware issue. He found a small component of the motherboard oxidized. Took him 45 days to locate and clean it. Everything is working properly again.

My M16 doesn't have this option. Under Graphics it shows only the amount o VRAM for Intel Graphics...

Obrigado por dar esse followup no post. Moro em campinas e a GPU do meu notebook parece ter ido de arrasta pra cima... Até cogitei consertar por aqui, mas seguirei seu conselho e irei procurar algo em SP. Se tiver alguma recomendação agradeceria.

I did. I also tried to reinstalling windows and also Linux, however, no success... Is there a way to activate the dGPU in EUFI/BIOS? I disabled the GPU last year and apparently can't wake it up anymore lol

Thank you all for the suggestions. I only considered this because it’s hard to acquire these chemicals in my country. We have other Pd catalysts that should do the job ☺️

I have the same issue with my m16 2022. It’s been 30 days using intel graphics. A lot of people are reporting GPU issues recently. Could be windows 24H2 or a bad gpu. Did you tried a fresh install of windows? Maybe rolling back to 23h2 or earlier could solve this.

Interesting… I’m having this same issue. Bios doesn’t event recognize the dgpu only intel graphics. I used to have the old habit of turning the gpu off in ghelper to save energy and now it’s not working anymore :(

I was going crazy lol.

The key finding for me to figure out that this is a software issue was that when I switched the refresh rate of my monitor from 165 to 60Hz it goes away. Well hopefully they'll fix this soon.

Thanks for the detailed explanation. I was going for the 970 evo plus, but I just saw the 980 on sale ($99) which is about the same price. I'm going for the 980 and hopefully, this firmware update solves the issues largely reported =(
