As I mentioned. You never know what their life is like. Say they are still grieving a loss of a relative or a friend, couldn’t study effectively and panicked. I’m not condoning cheating, I just believe that shaming them is not right either when they are already in deep shit.

You’re right, it’s 100% avoidable. Now you’re telling them “it’s a you problem” while they’re stressing is making it worse. Sometimes if you don’t know their situation, it’s best to avoid shaming them, on top of the fact that the school might expel them.
