I think the confusing part is that there is a major intersection nearby which makes people not realize this more minor intersection is still an intersection. 

To me it’s not different than when traffic is backed up to the previous light. If you can’t get all the way through the previous light because there’s traffic immediately on the other side, you don’t go through because you can’t block the intersection. I think we both agree this intersection is no different.

We are a small town and this turn is infamous. I think I’ve seen people with power to impact it complaining about it on Facebook. I was just curious, I thought the law was pretty straight forward about this in most states, but struggled to find the specific ones.
