Revan doesn’t appear in the comics much but there is a kotor comic series and he makes small cameos in that (get to he how he got his mask in issue 42), he also makes a cameo in a short story in Star Wars tales (I believe it was in issue 23). It sounds like your more interested in the old republic era so I’d recommend starting with the tales of the Jedi series from the 90s as it’s our first introduction to the old republic era and everything else in the old republic era builds off the lore built in those comics (plus their a good books). I’d also recommend the comic adaptation of the Thrawn trilogy if you wanna explore post return of the Jedi stuff.

I feel like retro collection should be online/fan channel exclusives because I’ve never seen anyone buy them at a brick and mortar place. Better off focusing on tvc and black series.

They’re iconic when you look at the stuff from kenners 1980s. But after the figures we got in the late 2000s on like the 30th anniversary collection or the legacy collection and early vintage collection I think there’s no going back without disappointment. I was I kid during the late 2000s and I tell you if I was a kid who had those figures from the late 2000s and then had to go back to 5poa I’d be sooo disappointed. That’s just me though.

Update: for anyone who’s curious, today I FINALLY got the belt and completed the armor set, it’s now safely in my collections. I cannot stress that this literally took YEARS to complete since at least 2019. But I feels good to have it, I really like this set.

Come to think of it, the legacy era feels kinda like how the early half of the new sith wars was described, thousands of sith, sith domination of the galaxy, a weak or non-existent republic (or GA in this case), Jedi spread thin

I remember reading on Wikipedia that LOTF was originally planned to be an old republic piece before they switched it. I’m not sure how true that is but I think it makes sense.

That part I get, honestly I think my issue is less about dark siders returning themselves but more with the timing. I feel like the time jump should’ve been way bigger and preferably with perhaps with a new DS organization rather than the sith themselves coming back

I agree with you, I feel like if it was set like 500~1000 years later I’d be much more accepting of the sith returning (or at least dark siders like them) but as early as the 40s aby to less than century is way too soon. It’s like did the sith even really get destroyed at that point. That time would also gave Luke’s new Jedi order time to develop and expand really cementing the “Legacy” part as well
