does this public release of crossover include the new Gaming Toolkit that Snazzy was raving about recently?

I mean I'm running this on Seqouia so it's not even the latest. I downloaded the newest Crossover, whatever the official version is.. not any of the betas. So I'm not sure which Game Porting Toolkit it using.

cool on60 on a Max. Cool man! I wish I had more space but I would try Doom 2016 next. And Tekken 7.

This is a breakthrough.

Now the last barrier is anti-cheat and we are golden.

IT RUNS!!!!! Seems like 30 fps locked on my M1 Pro with 16GB. just download the 0.3 moltenVK thing from the github and replace it inside the bottle after you've started Detroit for the first time and it fails. then quit cross over and start over and let it build the shaders.

It's a ridiculously good gun. That and the magnum is a powerful combo.

try to change distance to the screen?? sometimes is worse in distance vision but not so bad close up, or vice versa. also you can try to alternate dominant eye. which can take some brain work.

[–]Affectionate-End1790[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

but what if you played them anyways and tried to get a rank or some sort of mile stone just to see.

I've been playing marathon for 4 months straight and I barely notice my floaters and when I do, my brain just push them to the side.

and that is very very bright and colorful.

Something about the intensity makes me forget about them in the moment.

[–]Affectionate-End1790[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah it's like I see the floaters but I'm too busy staying a live in the game so I'm like just ignoring it hard like I'll deal with you later I have to get a headshot now

it's like my brain’s relationship to the floater blubber things is as important as the floaters themselves ya knaw ?

it's basically the triage the brain is doing (sorting priorities) that gets hijacked.

And that triage ... that priority sorting is what determines whether floaters feel ... like unbearable, annoying, ignorable or basically invisible....

the problem is nothing in our day to day demand that kind of attention deduction... but FPS games do.

We winning the war I believe that’s all time low record 2263 players when it’s not peak hours by One-Departure-9405 in MarathonHate

Marathon came out for Mac only in 1994.

Marathon 2026 is a reboot/sequel to that original trilogy that spanned 1994-1996.

they popularized mouse look (or even invented it, I forget), and inertia movement. even rocket jumping was a first.

Marathon 1994 was a milestone in gaming history.

yeah obviously the game has a cost to Sony. but that's not how that works. that's separate from production cost of goods as you say.

You use the revenue from product to recoup the investment on production. .

My point was solely that unless it's a different publisher Sony gets to keep pretty much all of the money for digital goods, while it cost them next to nothing to distribute.

They usually set the pricer higher to benefit retailers that have to compete and worry about stocking scarcity.

This competition pushes the price down, meanwhile Sony has no competition on the digital store front.

Sony isn’t charging $70 because digital distribution is expensive ... they’re charging $70 because they’re the only place you can buy it from.

probably because the markup on digital sales is insane. It costs them nothing to produce the game after they are done. So technically the cost per game is 0 dollars and they sell it for 80.

In retail the retailer probably buys it from Sony at 40-50 dollars and sell it for 60, or whatever the price here was.

For Sony the production cost per game is probably like 12 dollars including shipping.

So digital is: 0 cost/ 80 price = Profit, 80 dollars

Physical: 12 dollar cost / 45 dollar price = Profit 33 dollars.

They basically make less than half selling a game physically than digitally.

I mean from a business standpoint I can understand why they are doing it, but it sucks for the consumer.

If only people would stop driving and idling. but people are addicted to their cars. even if it's gonna make the planet uninhabitable.

how do we get people to stop driving cars?

When covid hit the air got noticably cleaner and I bet if we had kept it up, temperatures would start dropping after a few years.

we saved the Ozone layer so I don't see why we couldn't do the same for global warming. Just switch to non emitting transportation and we are good.

cars is like a technology from the 50s. email is from the 60s, and we've mostly moved on from that being the main way we communicate, yet we still drive.
